¿Por qué elegí la carrera de derecho?

AUTOR: ROSA ALVARADO CABRERA.

Why did I choose a law degree?

AUTHOR: ROSA ALVARADO CABRERA.

Studying law is the best decision I have made, why choose that career, why precisely want to be a
lawyer; Well, the right is a beautiful career, and it is also one of the few races that includes almost
everything we do every day.

Since I was little I liked to help people to resolve their conflicts, however minimal they may be, I
always had that desire that one day the reality of our Peru would change, that they would stop
committing so many abuses, injustices with people, that finally day do not find a news of any
corruption by prosecutors; but nowadays it can be seen that this has worsened with the
prosecutor's case: Cesar Hinostroza, who is a clear example of this.

Maybe I saw that the change of this injustice was very far from my hands, but as the years passed I
grew, and matured in my way of thinking. So, why wait for someone else to change that reality, if I
can also contribute to that change, that was the day I decided to study law.

I also know and suffered many cases of injustice by authorities such as: The case of homonymy
lived in my own flesh by my family where my brother Oscar Alvarado Nina who had a warrant for
arrest by a convicted inmate for aggravated robbery; in the city of Lima, he was captured and
taken to be unjustly sentenced only for having found his military notebook at the scene. We had
to carry out many activities to pay for his lawyers and show that it was a case of homonymy, he
was finally declared innocent.

Another case is where I live at the side of a chicken slaughterhouse in the center of San Francisco,
where the authorities wash their hands unjustly giving permission to operate only because I
support them financially for their political campaign this year, where families live with children,
babies. Although the neighbors come together and ask the mayor to close it becomes deaf ears
without paying attention to the town.

Also, despite the fact that many stones get in the way, and it is very difficult for me to attend
classes because of my work, due to the lack of tolerance or empathy of some teachers; I am very
sure that I will go ahead and achieve my goal of being a lawyer for the Poor.

Well, another goal will be to have an office where I can support the most humble people in the
face of the injustices that afflict them for lack of economy, and so I will make you know, to assert
your rights. I prefer a thousand times to help improve my country with my work, and not just to
benefit economically no matter what I have to do.

Then, exposed all my reasons, I want to add that this race in the particular, will drive me to grow
as a person, to experience many new things, to help people, get justice, do things with
transparency, so we can change the reality of my Moquegua and because not of my Country.
