The aim of the document is to describes how to install the OMPC application on a PCFS under Windows XP

1 ENVIRONMENT OF THE OPERATION

The PCFS is connected to the NE via:

• Two LIGP links on COM1 and COM2 of the PCFS (see the detail in the table below)

• One ETHERNET link from the PCFS (second ETHERNET board in the PCFS) to a HUB and split
at the HUB into two ETHERNET links, one connected to the NE's subsystem A Ethernet panel
(front) and the other connected to the NE's subsystem B Ethernet panel (front). (or in R27.2
case, two Ethernet link and a bridge connection on the PCFS)

The PCFS is linked to the NETWORK via:

• One ETHERNET link from the PCFS (first ETHERNET board in the PCFS) to the LAN.

In the case of HC3.4 technology (S14 family), the PCFS is linked to the NETWORK via:

• One ETHERNET link from the PCFS to the LAN. This link gives access to the network and to the
NE. The OMPC do not use the serial links (COM1 & COM2), the CV are opened on the NE thru the
Ethernet link (IP/CORBA session).

4.4 Modifying the OMPC terminal assignments

Assign to TERLOMP1 and TERLOMP2 all the domains for the NE found in the releases file (/work/form)
using the ASSADT command on the terminal connected to the station.

Note: normally, these assignments are already made during the hardware retrofit => check them

Example:

>> ASSADT : TERLOMP1, INDASSDL=ASS, ADNAME= AES, INDSESSK=OS ;

>>> ;

>> ASSADT : TERLOMP2, INDASSDL=ASS, ADNAME= AES, INDSESSK=OS ;

>>> ;

Repeat the operation for all the domains found in the releases file
