Task 4 – Instructional Planning

This task asks you to identify the formative and summative assessment strategies used
during a week. As part of this task, you are required to implement a new formative
assessment strategy, provide evidence of implementation and reflect on the impact.
What are the components of a learning outcome/instructional objective?
The learning outcome components are what students will achieve during the session,
how students will achieve the learning outcomes and what is the specific level
learners will achieve. Also, the learning objective must be smart (S)=Specific which is
connected to a certain topic. (M)=Measurable which is the teacher will be able to
masseuse students level (ZPD). (A)=Attainable which is must be realistic.
(R)=Relevant which is must match students level of learning. (T)=Time which is must
be accomplished during the period.

Reflection:
I sued two types of formative assessment for my Math lessons. The first assessment
used the white board strategy. That strategy helped me to determine if students achieve
the learning objectives or not and help students to release where they make the
mistake. Also, that strategy helped me to figure out if need to reteach the lesson or not.
The second assessment that I used was quiz. I used that method to test students’ prior
knowledge. That help me to see what students can do be them self and ehat they need
to improve.
