Overall aim and context of the lesson:

There are two goal for this lesson: Model the earth rotates around the sun and explain how the earth
rotate around the sun.

The lesson talked about the movement of the earth around the Sun is the basis for understanding
other solar system patterns that relate to day and night, the length of day, shadows, eclipses, and
other phenomena.

In this lesson, the students will model the earth rotate around the sun. They will be plan in groups for their
modeling and model it in the play garden.

Who is the lesson for? Grade 5
Where did the lesson take place? Class
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson? Able the students to identify how the earth rotate around
the sun.
What did the students do? Students were summarizing the experiment that they did and write the
important terms that they used it.

Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did? I think that the students did good job in
this activity because it gave them the opportunity to write down the outcomes and note the important
ideas.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding? Through asking the students to
summarize the main ideas from the experiment, I got the opportunity to demonstrate their prior
knowledge about the lesson and check how far they remember the concept.
Appraise (A):
Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective? students will be modeling the
earth revaluation as a group. The teacher will tell the students that they will model the earth rotate
around the sun. After that, students were summarizing the main ideas that they came out from the
experiment and explain it in front of the class to the teacher.
Did your lesson meet your teaching goals? Yes, through giving the students the opportunity to model the
earth revolution in the play garden and observe how far they understand the lesson. Moreover, asking
the students to summarize the out comes from the experiment, able me to evaluate their understanding
for the topic.
Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future? Next time, I could ask the students
to model the earth revolution individually, so I will challenge them, and they will engage more and will do
their best to achieve the aim of the lesson.
What are the implications for your professional practice? Let the students develop their understanding by
letting them work in groups and share their ideas.
