The Water Cycle

Cassidy Vorndran and Erin Gawlak

Introduction https://youtu.be/y5gFI3pMvoI

Video
● During an actual lesson, we would play this
video for the class
● After the video,
we would hand
out a guided
notes sheet to
the students to
follow along
with the rest of
the slides
Evaporation

Definition:
● The sun heats up water from a body of water and turns it into
water vapor which travels into the air
Condensation

Definition:
● Water vapor gets cold and turns into clouds
Precipitation

Definition:
● The vapor becomes too heavy for the air to hold, so it falls
back to earth as rain, hail, snow, or sleet
Runoff

Definition:
● The water then flows back into bodies of water (ex. ocean,
lake, pond, river)
THE CYCLE REPEATS

● The water cycle is always happening

● Runoff water will soon go through evaporation again
