Orphanage

Our Vision

Holy Faith Mercy Home is dedicated to improving the lives of neglected children in remote
communities in any remote part of Jharkhand. It has been our experience that humanitarian
relief seldom reaches the distant areas or village members, yet sometimes they are the ones
who need it most.

Our Mission

The Mission of Holy Faith Mercy Home is to bring relief to all ethnic groups, especially
focusing on orphans and abandoned children and families in remote areas of Jharkhand.
Moving people toward a new vision and enabling them with the skills and resources for a
brighter future.

For us, every individual counts, whether in an area of great media coverage or not, we believe
that ethnic communities around the world would benefit from being a part of the Holy Faith
Mercy Orphanage Home Family.

Our focus on the community helps us to have a wider reaching impact in the lives of children
and families made vulnerable through abandonment disease and circumstances beyond their
control. This vision was not born out of necessity or needs but out of revelation and personal
experience.

“Our mission is to construct and operate family-style orphanage facilities providing a

living environment conducive to strengthening and positioning the lives of orphans so
they may be fully equipped and prepared to lead productive and godly lives.”
Exhibition cum cultural program
Thousand of sapling of takes were plants in many villages or area to enhance forest cover in
the area villagers took participation at large scale and show great interest in it , So they
activity engaged in plantation.

“HFTWD” is here to encourage them and utilize the manpower for the development of the
communities as well as the people concerned with it.

The Culture of Jharkhand specially focuses on the Crafts.

Masks

The masks made in this state are very different from those made in the neighbouring state of
Bihar. The masks are rather primitive and fierce and represent what in India is known as
tamasik, a manifestation of the moral elemental passions in which every bodily form as well
as facial expression is highly exaggerated.

Wood Work

Jharkhand abounds in forests that have a variety of wood for producing several articles of
household use. The wood craftspersons of this region carve various attractive articles like
door panels, boxes and windows, wooden spoons etc. for household use.

Bamboo Craft

A very thin, flexible and strong variety of bamboo grows in the Jharkhand area. This bamboo
lends itself to multifarious uses. Bamboo baskets, containers, hunting equipments and fishing
gears are made using this bamboo.

Folk Painting

The Jharkhand area is famous for a special type of folk painting called the Paitkar paintings.
This form of painting is one of the earliest forms of tribal paintings in India. These paintings
have a scrolling look and depicts life after death. However, due to lack of recognition and
promotion, this type of painting is slowly facing extinction.
Toy Making

Toupadana near the capital city of Ranchi makes very unusual wooden toys that are
completely abstract. They are just pieces of wood painted to look like human figures with
angular lines but no separate limbs. Hands are indicated only by painting lines on the body.
The toys are always in pairs -- man and woman wearing different crowns, costumes and
ornaments. They are breathlessly stunning and very original as they are different from any
other doll.

WOMEN & CHILD EMPOWERMENT

Empowering women and child especially girls in all ways and forms has been found as a
most challenging and crucial issue in front of the nation.

“HFTWD” brings the world of miracle for them where the activities like leadership
development activities and rural sports are provided to them.

Working on this line “HFTWD” has been implementing project of women and child
empowerment in more than 75 villages in which the situation is generally characterized by
lack of education, depravation of decision making and lack of access to resources all of which
are required to enable them to work their way of poverty in low social status caste and social
biases.

MOBILE HEALTH CAMP IN RURAL AREAS

Health status of people in Jharkhand is very low because of their illiteracy, poverty, lack of
communication and non-access to scientific information not of because their ethnicity.

Jharkhand present a gloomy picture among the poor .Government hospitals are in such states.
About 80% of births in rural area are at home by untrained people “HFTWD” is working for
improving the health status of the people as well as generating awareness among the people
on various health aspects.

“HFTWD” ensured the participation of communication in the national health programs such
as Pulses Polio, Blindness Control, Blood donation, Aids awareness, Eye Check-up and
Malaria, organized body show to motivate communing participation in routine immunization
and light-alight village to immunized child. Our participation in this programs increase
immunization level of that area.
Throughout the year 895 patients were benefited by our program with the help of Dr.Anand
sinha, Dr.Sushma Sinha and the medical staff team. HFTWD organized the Camp in
association Mecon India Ltd and local government hospitals to improve the health and
hygiene of the people of Jharkhand.

TOTAL SANITATION CAMPAIGN (TSC PROGRAMME)

Many organizations are introducing various projects for this purpose. But the programs are
not bringing the developmental changes in the villagers up to their satisfaction many villagers
are not participating in the programs the reasons behind this is they don’t have the falling of
ownership in the various programs and schemes which was meant for the villagers.

Keeping all point in consideration “HFTWD” make a project which fails dated in making the
gram sabha. The people have developed a sense of ownership of the developmental projects
and the planning of their development now emerges from the grass-root live. “HFTWD” is in
its process of organizing people to take the responsibility of their development on their own
success. To continue with these efforts we are felicitating information of community based
organization and village level institution in all the operation ate village.
RURAL EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT

Education is the way of development which is lacking in the state like Jharkhand. Education
shapes the future of the society. “HFTWD” gives the main priority to education because
education is concerns with holistic development of the human beings. The under develop
place of Jharkhand makes it apparent that literacy rate is quite low in compared in other state
of India.

Several education programs are being run by the several organizations but was not successful
because of half constructive school absence or influent teacher or missing infrastructure.

“HFTWD” is running to eliminate all these problems from the economy by providing all
facilities to them.

AWARNESS FOR FARMERS CULTIVATION &WATER

CONSERVATION: -

(A) LAND AND WATER MANAGEMENT:-

Nature Resources management such as wind and water management on watershed approach
is key to environment management and sustainable development in association with
community for promotion of watershed development “HFTWD” has been putting efforts to
adopt the bus practices.
() ENVORONMENTAL AWARNESS:-

Water has been identifies as a key resources of entire development “HFTWD” has organized
intensive awareness campaign on environment issue.

“HFTWD” gives special efforts on particular objective this year.

• To make people aware regarding – Water –elixir of life

• To create awareness among people regarding personal cleanness and hygiene

• To make people aware about water born discuss.

(C) FAITH GARDEN

In this program farmers are taught about the methods of agriculture by making herbal
manure and by not using harmful chemical manure in their field. The production is
more than two and half time more than that of the general farming.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING & GRADING OF SELF HELP

GROUP

“HFTWD” Ranchi organizes short term vocational courses for the rural and urban people
youth basically ST.SC under privileges group &both boys and girls.

“HFTWD” develops their skill for employment or starting their own enterprise with the help
of donation and sponsorship the rural and urban poor youth who were unemployment have
developed their skills in data typing and DTP, Accounting Package –Tally Software etc.
Many of them are now working in small organization in and around Ranchi and some of them
have also starter their own enterprise after successfully completing the training. Through Self
help group many women learned tailoring and running small shops. Through Mushroom
cultivation, bee keeping, post cocoon, pickle making, vermi compost many groups earned
their living. HFTWD keeps an eye track for their income generating schemes to help them to
raise their standards in the society.
MINORITY AWARNESS PROGRAMME

The problem of female feticide is growing in Jharkhand particularly in the rural area our
survey shows that about 70% of the couple preferred son keeping in mind the creating of the
problem. “HFTWD” in collaboration with the family planning association of India organized
a workshop on female feticide. The member of “HFTWD” is really concerned with this they
discuss about the consequences of the problem and how to tackle them.

Our organization is thankf ul and obliged to the people at large for their kind
and cash support. Our organization is also thankf ul to those who voluntarily
participates in seminars & program arrange by society on time to time basis
either as a trainee or a trainer, also we are thankf ul to local administration f or
their generous support and kind co-operation.

Last but not the least, we are thankf ul to our member f or their unforgettable
sincere contribution to arrange program in splendid manner.
