Introduction

In this document we are going to show a tool from ICTs, to help teachers to improve their

ability in teaching English language with students of fifth grade, in this way to help the students

to improve their knowledge in English grammar, in order to approved, and pass another grade. It

is very important to create and use the correct strategies so the ICTs will help us to do it. For this

reason, below showing how to improve this tool through a unified model of integration of ICTs

into Teaching and learning process with the students.

Following this quote, “They need to practice in hearing language, reading language, speaking

language, and writing language in order to develop their experience and skills” (Ybarra & Green,

2003) In agreement with the author, kids need to practice English through different ways,

because here in Colombia our context it is all about Spanish. Therefore, the essence in teaches is

improve abilities and learn as a natural language.

Explanation

Quizizz is an app helpful for teachers because we can create activities online based in

whichever topic and the students can interact with the contents. Teachers can create evaluations,

word games, pictures and match meanings; even you can create memes to encourage the

student’s answers, so this app it is amazing to practice with them.

Another important aspect is that you can practice from your smartphone (you must

download the app) or just from the computer with internet connection. In the case of the student

of fifth-grade is important that the school have a laboratory with computers, due to a good space

of work for the students will help to focus and will improve the attention of the students and

achieve the learning objective.

Conclusions
- Like teachers, we have to know how to use correctly the Quizizz App, because we can’t teach
with something we don’t know.
- If the students have questions about the app, we have to clarify them and try to make the use of
the app an excellent experience.
- Students can practice with their parents help with the app and learn together, so that is very
important in the learning process because of the family time.
- The use of ICT is so important now at days because children like to explore the world of
technology and know new and different things, that’s why teachers have to take advantage of
that need of knowledge using another funny alternatives for learning.
- Now at days exist a lot of tools and material to use in the classes using ICTs, for that reason is
important to know our students, their likes and dislikes and what kind of motivation they need to
have a better learning process, not only at the school, in their social and personal life too.
