 The estimation of quantity and cost are made not for the purpose of giving the Client
the final quantity and cost of the structures but only for the purpose of comparing the
different alternatives as to show which one is the most economical alternative.
Accordingly, unit prices of items are taken from recent similar construction works.
The detailed cost breakdown of each item is to be done in the future on Task No. 125.
This alternative crossing is at a 20m distance upstream of the existing bailey bridge.
There is ROW problem that will be incorporated due to shifting the alignment but it is
insignificant when compared to the advantages that could be achieved from using the
Bailey bridge as detour and improving the curves at the approaches.
A 25m span RC Girder Bridge is proposed to be designed on alternative three crossing
site.
