Goal 1: District Improvement: Develop a variety of district plans as a result of regionalization, to assure the district is aligning
vertically and horizontally to meet the needs of all students Prek-12+

Key Actions:
● Meet at least 2 times monthly with combination of Admin Team to review data, communicate outcomes and trends, and
develop an action plans, including the alignment of existing activities.
● Administer survey to faculty/staff, students where applicable, families and community stakeholders for the data needed
for a Strategic Plan
● Create a Strategic planning steering committee
● Working with building Principals, Director of Technology and Director of Pupil Services review curriculum, state reporting
and student data
● Provide professional development for faculty on use of Chromebooks, the Chrome platform and google apps

Benchmarks:
● Communicate results and plans to school communities through school committee presentations and Superintendent
updates
● Admin Team will have a full cycle evaluation process
● Develop an approved District Improvement Plan
● Provide supporting documents and data to implement a 3-5 year Strategic Plan
● Established faculty, parent, administration task force with a draft proposal of new school-based technology plans

Goal 2: Professional Practice (Family and Community Engagement) -​ ​By June 2019, will have focused activities for faculty,
students and families aligned to Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) to increase positive relationships with families and members of
the community at all three districts.

Key Actions:
● Work with Principals and Director of Pupil Services to develop assessments to assist schools/districts in identifying
strengths and areas needing improvement around meeting the needs of all children.
● Provide professional development opportunities to support Second Step program in grades K-6 as the school’s social
teaching curriculum
● Work with Principals to engage staff in cultural proficiency training
● Provide Professional Development related to ESSA as aligned to each SIP
● Work with Building Based Administration to provide information for families regarding PBIS & social teaching in the
school – coffee & conversation, website, newsletter

Benchmarks:
● Host presentations at least four times throughout the year, based on alignment to Target Assistance Title I
programming, School Culture and Social Emotional Learners
● Updated district websites with current resources aligned to ESSA guidelines
● Present fiscally sound budgets that support all children's needs, by routinely meeting with Principals to review PD
and educational supply purchases
● Incorporate data into draft Strategic Plan to roll out in September 2019

Goal 3: Student Learning - Using the new MCAS accountability system data will work with building Principals and Director of
Pupil Services to engage faculty/staff, students and families so that we have implemented action steps for students target
areas not meeting target.

Key Actions:
● Review use of technology across all grades 3-12 curricula and highlight areas for improvement with the introduction
of the chromebook
● Review data provided by DESE during admin meetings
● Will review with Principals each schools plan to address target areas not meeting target
● Professional development for application of digital technology in instruction and assessment
● Monitor student progress through the building based child study processes
Benchmarks:
● Develop District Improvement Plan with fours focused goals
● Develop an attendance procedure to address deficits within the region
● Presentation with the Admin Team highlighting core curriculum, supplementals, manipulatives and technology
● Presentation of MCAS data to the school committee
● Updated attendance policy/procedure
● Updated educational proficiency plans
● Updated child study process and RtI plans
