● Students will get to choose which place they want to create a safety poster for
by drawing of sticks.
● The groups will be taken to the computer lab where the classroom teacher and
computer teacher will demonstrate how to use the Internet and answer any
questions students may have.
● Students will draw pictures of safety objects such as seatbelts if assigned to car
safety or life-vests if assigned to pool safety onto their poster and write
underneath the picture what the object is.
● One student of the group will find the safety object, the second student will
draw the picture, and the last student will write what the object is.
● Each poster must have three things so students get the chance to take turns
writing and drawing.
● Once done, students will give brief presentations showing what they’ve learned
to the class.
Assessment:
I will walk around while the posters are being made to make sure students are on task and
understanding the assignment. I will grade based on if the directions were followed and if
students can correctly identify safety objects and rules of different settings.
