Procedural Steps Questions Differentiated Instruction
Activating Time
Strategy/ 0:00 – 0:10 Students will arrive into the classroom with mobile lab laptops
Introduction already on their desks. They will turn in their research logs at
the beginning of class for me to check over and return as they
begin writing their drafts. I will explain to students that they
will spend this class time to writing their zero draft of their
paper, which can start by putting their outline off of paper and
onto the screen and going from their research.
Core Time
Instruction 0:10 – 0:40 Students will have this time to write. I will be returning their What is your draft looking like Students who cannot type

Closure Time

also ask that they either bring an extra printed out copy for
me, or to email one to me once they have finished. They will
have my email written on the board to copy down.
Contingency Time
0:10 – 0:40 If there is no mobile lab available, I will take students to the
school computer lab. They will begin there, at the end of the
lesson the previous day I will have told them to meet there.
