MGO 634 F10/PM1 Take-Home Final Exam Fall 2018

I. General Instructions:
In case you have not participated in a take-home exam such as this, I want to lay out the specific
ground rules and expectations for the exam. I will put them in a list format so they will be easier
to identify and follow:
1. You are to work on the exam individually. No discussion between students about the
exam will take place. You will not accept, provide nor seek help from other people,
except from Professor Hayden.
2. You can research these questions to help you better understand the issues and how
best to approach your solution. Recall that while each question-set is contained with a
specific chapter’s content, it has implied system-connectivity upstream and
downstream to other portions of the course material.
3. You will be expected to use the assigned textbook and readings to help you answer the
questions. Our in-class discussions and group presentations have also extended this
material. It is important that you use the reading materials as resources, not as the
entire answer to the questions. I have to be able to tell that you understand what it is
you are writing about. Do not just copy down what the authors wrote. If you quote
directly from anyone else’s work, you should place it in quotation marks and cite the
source.
4. Some of the questions have multiple parts and assume that you have read and studied
in detail the materials that we have covered in class. Make sure that you respond
specifically to each part of each question being asked. Structure your responses so that
it is easy for me to tell that you have specifically addressed each aspect of each
question.

5. You may provide personal work or personal non-work examples for any part of any
question. This may add value to your response to the degree it clearly goes beyond a
simple regurgitation of the text material.

6. Only typed submittals, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 Font Final Exams are
acceptable.

7. There are five (5) numbered questions. You must answer all parts of each of the
5 required questions.

“Assertion of Integrity” form.1
3. All questions of any nature whatsoever are to be directed only to Professor Hayden.
