Active Engagement (group working with the teacher) – 8 min

I will put some of subtract of 3 digit numbers equations on the board and get some of the students
to come in front and solve it on the board. For instance, I will put three different kinds of subtract
of 3 digit numbers equations on the board, and I will get some of the students to solve it on the
board. After that, I will discuss with them about it. And ask them (do you have another way to
solve the subtract of 3 digit numbers equations?).

Independent Experience (small group activity 1): - 10 min

In this activity, the teacher will give each student a small whiteboard and small marker, put four
equations of subtracting of 3 digit number, and the teacher will let the student answer it on their
board, and the teacher will show the answers on the board and will let the student check their
answers if its correct or not.

- Independent Experience (small group activity 2): - 10 min

- In this activity, students will set on their level group. (Individual work).

- This activity is differentiated based on student’s levels:


- Mastered level (red group): in this sheet, the student will read the question and write the
subtract sentence then, they will solve it.

- Developing level (yellow group): the student will solve 4 equations of subtract 3 digit
numbers with regrouping.

- Emerging level (green group): each student will have this sheet, it is about four
questions of subtract of 3 digit numbers and the student must to circle of the correct
answer.
