Reflection
The multimodel project reveled a variety of strengths and weaknesses in terms of my

abilities for presenting material. My strengths during this project was the overall editing process,

due to my experience with utilizing editing software years prior to this class. While it has been a

decent amount of time since I’ve touched editing software, those skills resurfaced whilst I was

doing the project. Composing the animations themselves without the texts and utilizing the

Powtoons tool was an engaging experience, as I learned how to quickly get the hang of it.

However, despite my strengths in composing some of the visual pieces and making the

appearance satisfying to the eye, there were a great number of challenges I faced when compiling

the evidence. My essays tend to be lengthy, as my weak point is not being able to be concise. I

found myself having to cut mounds of words within the PowerPoint document, in order to ensure

my presentation did not become lengthy. Presenting the transitions within Powtoons was also

challenging, as the tool has minimal space within the cartoons’ speech bubbles. This project truly

brought forth my weaknesses in linguistic essays to, which is a lack of conciseness as I end up

going over the page maximum most times. Doing more projects like this would help me learn to

acquire skills I could use going forward, whether it be conciseness in essays or other media

projects requiring a strong argument. On the other hand, while I touched upon philosophical

concepts within my high school years, this class furthered the depths of those studies more so.

When I look at pop culture and my own writing outside this class, I’ll now be able to analyze

media and literary compositions using both literary, critical thinking, and philosophical tools this

class has taught me. This class, again, has also made me aware of my weaknesses apart from

diction, which I am thankful for while going forward.
