Language focus: Speaking, Listening and writing. Time: 90 minutes

Objectives:

 Students will learn how to use prepositions of time correctly.


 Students will be able to make sentences using preposition of time + time expressions.

Key Expressions:

 Days of the week and parts of the days, months, years and seasons.

Resources: posters, flash cards, markers, whiteboard, photocopies.

Procedure: Details:

Greeting: Teacher will ask to the students. How are you today?
Presentation and they will answer with the options: fine, very good, so good.

Introduction
Warm up activity:
20 minutes Rock, paper and scissors.
Have 2 students come to the front and play the game rock, paper and
scissors game, the student who loses will have to answer a question.

Question of time expressions.


 What date is today?
 What day is today?
 What year are we now?
 What time did you get up today?

Presentation
Teacher will explain the correct use of propositions of time based on chart
below:

Then, teacher will show some expressions of time using flash card and will
put them in the correct space based on the chart below.

Each student will have a photocopy and complete each sentence with `at',
20 minutes `in' or `on' plus one of the following:

Activity:
Production Review with students

20 minutes  Students will work in pairs and complete a conversation with “at”,
“in”, “on” where necessary.
 Then, they will practice the conversation in pairs.

Alice: Hi Simon, it's Alice. Are you free - this evening?


Simon: No, I'm afraid I'm busy.
Alice: That's a pity. Are you doing anything ______ the weekend?
Simon: Well, ____ Saturday, I'm meeting old friend. We played football
