Note:- 1) Candidates should answer 6 (six) Questions in Part -I, 6 (six) Questions in Part-II
and 8 (eight) Questions in Part-III. In case more Questions are answered, the last
extra Questions in each part will be ignored.
2) Parts of the same Questions should be answered together and must not be
interposed to other Questions.

4) Explain the duties of Generating Company. Quote the authority.

7) According to I.E. Act 1910 what is the procedure to be followed by licensee while laying over
head lines ?

8) What are the General Principles for Board’s finances ?

9) Define Malpractices in terms of supply of Electricity. Describe different types of malpractices

5) Write at least Ten (10) very important checks and observations to be made during shifts in
EHT substation.

6) What is full form of “SCADA” ? Explain the Man Machine Interface (MMI) at the control
center of SCADA.

7) Explain the functions of protective relaying ? Draw the simplified diagram of circuit Breaker
control of the opening operation.

8) What are the technical specifications for static trivector meter ? What are the parameters
that can be measured with a static trivector meter.

9) Who is a consumer ? Explain the procedure for taking Domestic service for residential and
commercial purpose.
