GENERAL SUMMARY:

Develops, implements and oversees strategic, functional and technical processes that drives the operations of the resource
development department to ensure increased performance and efficiencies in securing the financial resources for the organization. Will
design and oversee the execution of launching an RD Operations department. This position reports directly to the Chief Development
Officer.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

Lead the development and ongoing management of regional funding plan.


Work collaboratively with Resource Development team to support the execution of departmental fundraising strategies.
Provide oversight and assistance to RD team for all aspects of proposal preparation, including but not limited to, interpretation
and clarification of funder guidelines, budget development and review, completion of required forms, assurances and
certifications, collection of necessary or pertinent data, and compilation of and review of proposal components for consistency
and compliance with sponsor guidelines.
Manage and provide ongoing coaching of staff professionals aligned to the operations team responsible for prospect research,
data analytics, reporting guidelines and quality assurance.
Work in close partnership with Club Operations, support the engagement of Leadership and select Club Directors in board
engagement and resource development initiatives including, but not limited to, aligning Ops and program strategic goals to
external funder presentations, funding proposals, and reports.
Develop and provide fundraising plans and progress reports to the Chief Development Officer.
Track and manage the overall Resource Development reporting efforts, prospect research analysis and grant writing/quality
assurance team.
Suggest and develop new financial approaches to manage funding diversity that results in an improved return on invested
capital (i.e., multiyear partnerships and public-private partnerships).
Plan actions to fit overall Resource Development strategy (directly and indirectly related to position): Prepare and review
contingency plans for problems and situations that might occur.

ADMINISTRATIVE

Develop and maintain a resource development operations SOP manual.


Develop R&D internal policies and procedures as needed.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Collaborate with Marketing team to Develop Materials ensuring fundraisers have resources to support their work; these can
include but are not limited to: Proposal templates, Marketing materials, Prospect research, PowerPoint presentations, Prospect
profile, Donor history, etc.

ANALYSIS & REPORTING

Analyze donor data and track progress.


Responsible for exporting and analyzing donor data to identify trends and inform fundraising strategies.
Develop fundraising Progress Reports exports data to produce fundraising progress reports for CDO.

TECHNOLOGY

Will oversee initial audit of Salesforce to improve efficiencies and evaluation of current tools; and responsible of ongoing
Raiser’s Edge improvements.
Manage R&D technology vendor relationships.
Provide training & support to R&D team to ensure utilization through training for current staff and new hires.
Responsible for evaluating new tools & technology to support fundraising activities and ensuring they are being fully maximized
(CRM, prospect research, payment processing, online fundraising platforms, event management, relationship mapping, etc.).

Requirements

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required. Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience in Resource Development
function. Experience in client service tracking software. Proven experience working with various tools to support fundraising activities.
Proven experience analyzing donor data and fundraising strategies and trends.
