EVENT PROFILE

The Event

The 7th edition of the Malaysia Education Exhibition in Mauritius was by far the
most successful event in its series, both in term of the size and the quality and
quantity of the visitors.

Organized by Malaysia Education Co. Ltd and EDUCATURE Sdn. Bhd. and with
the support from the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, the event had
showcased 13 Malaysian Educational Institutions that provided only recognized
and quality education options to over 2,000 visitors, which included students,
parents, academicians and professionals.

Malaysia Education Exhibition in Mauritius was 25% larger than its earlier show
in 2008. As such, this year’s outcome has indicated that Malaysia Education
Exhibition in Mauritius for 2009 is heading for a right direction; another increase
in size and hopefully a bigger increase in the number of recruited students from
Mauritius.

OUTREACH PROGRAMMES

As part of event promotion, technical visit to schools and Tertiary Education

Commission (TEC), Ministry of Education of Mauritius were organized for the
Malaysian group.

The technical visit to TEC was to initiate further understanding on the Education
System in Mauritius and to enhance further cooperation between the two nations,
especially in the Education Sector.

The outreach programmes in schools brought together a team of school

counselors, which includes School Principals, Academic Advisor and Career
Guidance Counselors, for the purpose of providing the high school students with
the information kit on Malaysian Education and higher education choices that are
provided by the Malaysian Educational Institutions.

The objectives of the exercise were to:

by providing students the hands on information on Malaysia Education.
Focused information to the students would increase the conversion rate
from enquiry to admission for participating exhibitors.

• Increase footfall to the event through direct contact with the students;
spread awareness about the nature of the event and the variety of study
options showcased under one roof.

• Initiate the awareness of the development of Malaysia Education

Exhibition in Mauritius profile to the education industry in Mauritius and its
