Enter Basic Information UI, enter the following values:

Name: <the name to uniquely identify your project> (Note: when you tab out of this field, Code and Description
will automatically change values to reflect the name)

Code: <a unique codename for your project with no space characters>

Description: <a valid description for your project>

Assigned to: <your implementation consultant> (default)

Start/Finish Dates: <current or future dated as desired>

5. Click the Save and Open Project button

6. From the Implementation Project UI, select the 'Select and Add' action, or click the corresponding icon with the green plus

the relevant tasks. To access Manage Journal Line Rules UI, click on the 'Go To Task' icon in that task's row. (Screenshot)
10. Create the Journal Line Rule: (Screenshot)

Enter the Name. The same will default into the Short Name control.

Event Class: Assign a transaction view, system transaction identifier, and optionally user transaction identifier for an
even class. At least one system transaction identifier must be defined for the accounting event class. System identifier

is used to link accounting events with transactions from subledger applications. Transaction view should include all
columns that have been mapped to system transaction identifiers for the accounting event class as well as the user
transaction identifiers. User transaction identifier helps provide contextual information fro inquiry and reports.

Select 'Side' (Debit, Credit, Gain, or Loss): For example, when an Oracle Fusion Payables invoice is generated, the
liability account should normally be credited. The journal line rule must therefore specify the Side option as Credit. On
the other hand, the payment of the Payables invoice must be accounted with a debit to the liability account. A separate
journal line rule must be defined to create this debit line.

Accounting Class: Select an accounting class to classify journal entry lines. For example, when a validated Payables
invoice is accounted, the Item Expense and Liability journal lines are created. In this case, the journal line rules used in
the accounting rules are assigned Item Expense and Liability accounting classes respectively.

Merge Matching Lines: To summarize subledger journal entry lines within each subledger entry. Journal entry lines
with matching criteria are merged.

Conditions: To restrict the use of a journal line rule by controlling when a particular journal line rule is used by the
Create Accounting program.

Advanced Operations: Subledger Gain or Loss Option - the journal line holds the gain or loss amounts calculated by the
subledger, Rounding Class Option - group journal lines together and calculate transaction rounding, Link Journal Lines
Option - determines whether the journal line rule is set up to establish a link between the accounting of transactions
that are related both within the same application, and across applications.

Accounting Attributes: When creating a journal line rule, accounting attribute assignments are automatically
established based on the default accounting attribute assignments for that journal line rule's accounting event class.
