4.1.1 /AFS/LOG_DRS_01: Third-Party Order Processing for AFS (New)

Use
As of SAP ECC 6.0, Industry Extension Apparel and Footwear Solution, Enhancement Package 5
(AFS6.5), business function Distributed Manufacturing for Fashion (/AFS/LOG_DRS_01), is available.
With this business function you can use the function of external capacity planning for third-party orders in
third-party order processing. You use this to take account of the vendor's capacity restrictions.
In the AFS (SAP AFS ERP) back-end system, when you create the sales order using the item category and
corresponding schedule line categories from Customizing, you determine whether or not a sales order
item is a third-party item for which planning takes places in the SAP Supply Chain Management system
(SAP SCM). You can use a Business Add-In (BAdI) to define user-specific criteria for which the system
checks if external planning is to be executed for a third-party item and determines the item category
accordingly.
The SAP ERP system creates the third-party requisition for planning-relevant items, blocks it, and
transfers the data to SAP SCM. Planning then takes place in the SAP Advanced Planning & Optimization
component (SAP APO). When the planner releases the third-party order requisition in SAP SCM, the
SAP ERP system removes the block so that you can create a purchase order and complete third-party
order processing.
The following functions are available:
- The distribution profile is sent from AFS to SCM APO (where it is stored as time-dependent
location product hierarchy with quotas for SKU variant products). You can then use this quota in
various processes in SCM APO like for example, forecast consumption, disaggregation and others.
- The planning takes place for individual schedule line level. However, you can only convert the
purchase requisition item to a purchase order when all the schedule lines have been planned for the
item.
- You can set the Delivery Completed indicator at the schedule lines in purchase order items (created
for third-party items).

Effects on Customizing
- To use this function, you must have activated the following business functions:
- Outsourced Manufacturing 2 in ERP (LOG_MM_OM_2)
