Project-Based Instruction

Multi-Day Planner

Week 4
Day 16
Student Learning Objectives (SWBAT)

SWBAT gather all data and make a cohesive presentation.

SWBAT graphically represent data related to exponentially
SWBAT analyze and interpret data collected
SWBAT show graphical representation of exponential functions based on tables.
SWBAT create an exponential equation from the graph.
SWBAT create an exponential equation from the table.
SWBAT: Budget and graphically express and explain what is happening with their money
SWBAT:Decide how much they have left to spend and what is left to account for.

Standards (full text not just numbers and letters)

A1: F-LE.A.1
● Distinguish between situations that can be modeled with linear functions and with exponential
functions.
A1: F-IF.B.6
● Determine the slope of a line from a graph.
● Develop and use the formula for slope.
A2: A-CED A.1
Create equations that describe numbers or relationships.
● Create equations and inequalities in one variable and use them to solve problems. Include
equations arising from linear and quadratic functions, and simple rational and exponential
functions

Lesson/inquiry/investigation ideas

PRESENTATIONS, students will present their final projects to the class and teacher.

Each group will also grade the other groups projects, so the teacher gets multiple points of view and it is
not bias.
