Business:
Executive Producers (2) - Mina Choe & / Responsible for ensuring that the creative team has the resources to
ensure the implementation of their vision. Ensures legalities are accounted for, such as venue terms, liability, photo/video
recording, negotiating contracts, and acting as a liaison between dissenting parties. Assigns and tracks duties to all
business-related positions. Includes finding sponsors and sources of resources (money or borrowed props/costumes).
Organizes administrative meetings. Finds and books a venue. Keeps track of other sectors and makes sure they are on
task. Both producers work on business and collaborate with directors.
Production Assistant(s) (1-2)/ Helps the executive producer carry out his duties.

Financial Director- / Handles donations and manages money. Must work closely with Creative Directors and
Scenic Designer to accommodate logistics of their requests. Includes working with Executive Producer with representation
for sponsorships, putting together a sponsorship package, putting together and managing a budget and ledger that will be
accessible by anyone in production at any given time. Works with Executive Producer and Konnect UCI President
concerning sponrsorship and partnership of other UCI clubs.
Financial Assistant/ Helps Financial Director with her duties.
Institutional Aid- Club Presidents/ gathers funds from ASUCI, CCC, and other campus
organizations through the clubs. Delegated to Konnect Business Chair if necessary.

Publicity & Marketing Coordinator - / Finds media partners, and establishes marketing plan to UCI and the rest
of the OC.
Publicity/Marketing Assistant(s) (1-2)/ Assists the publicity coordinate and helps her come up with
and carry out a marketing plan. Handles ticketing arrangements.
Graphic Designers(2)- Elaine Won & Michelle Juen/ Designs pamphlets, posters, and flyers as
delegated by publicity coordinator.
Resident Photographer, Videographer/ Photographs and/or video records various practices for
records and for the website.
Website Manager/ Updates the website with up-to-date information and media.

Secretary/ Takes notes at all meetings. On-demand for creation of any charts or diagrams that any board officer
requests, within reason. Notifies and reminds board members of upcoming meetings via Facebook, e-mail, AIM or phone.
Creates listserve. Maintains an organized calendar for production.

Creative:
Note that both creative directors will closely assist each other with each other’s duties.

Performance Director – Charvin Kessler/ Directly in charge of stage direction. Administrates and guides the
various coordinators and performance-related directors.
Direction Assistant (Performance)/ Assists Performance Director.

Actors/ Any characters with spoken lines.


Ensemble/ Extra lineless actors to add to the look and feel of a scene. Ensemble
includes dance performers, who need to coordinate with the skit.
Modern Dance Coordinator- / In charge of organizing, choreographing and perfecting various modern dances.
Schedules regular dance rehearsals. Collaborates with Traditional Dance Coordinator and choreographers for fusion
dance.
Modern Dance Choreographers/ Choreograph the modern dance sequences.

Traditional Dance Coordinator/ In charge of organizing, choreographing and perfecting various traditional dances.
Schedules regular dance rehearsals. Collaborates with Modern Dance Coordinator and choreographers for fusion dance.
Traditional Dance Choreographers/ Choreograph the traditional dance sequences. Dances listed
below and will be added onto.

Music Director- / Composes and produces original soundtrack to the play. Directs/conducts musicians/recorded
music during live shows.
Music Director Assistant(s)/ Help transcribe and computerize scores. May conduct pit orchestra during
show.

Stage Manager/ In charge of backstage operations during show time.


Call boy/ Alerts performers when their time is coming up and makes sure they’re ready. Notifies them when to
come on.
Stagehands/ Moves props and sets around during scene transitions.
Mic Wrangler/ Collects and passes along headsets/mics.
Sound Coordinator/ Manages and balances volume of microphones. Produces the appropriate sound effects during
show time.

Visual Director - / In charge of the overall look and feel of the play, and its visual effect on the audience. Verifies
historical accuracy. Set visionary.
Direction Assistant (Visual)/ Assists visual director.

Scenic Designer/ Oversees the construction and design of the set. Must keep track of finances and works closely
with financial manager.
Set Construction & Art/ Constructs and designs set.
Charge Scenic Artist/ In charge of painting textures of scenic backgrounds.
Propmaster/ Manages all props in an organized and responsible fashion. Will be accountable for location and
security of all props at any given time. During production, also delegates the construction and purchasing of the props and
prop material.
Propmaster Assistant (Historical Accuracy)/ Will determine which props are historically relevant.
Propmaster Assistant (Prop Construction)- / Will coordinate the construction of
custom props.

Wardrobe Supervisor/ Supervises all costume-related business, including finding, designing, making, and/or
delegating creation of costumes throughout the play.
Wardrobe Assistant (Historical Accuracy)/ Will determine which costumes are historically relevant.
Wardrobe Assistant (Costume Construction)/ Will coordinate the construction of custom costumes.

Lighting Coordinator/ Coordinates lighting during live shows. Responsible for noting changes during rehearsal, as
well as following the script for lighting directions.

Preproduction:
Playwrights- Charvin Kessler, Elaine Won/ Write the script.

Miscellaneous:

Club Delegates – Administrative - / Delegate from each club that attends and represents their club at each of the
business and creative Administrative Meetings (refer to below for more information)

Social Committee - / Arranges all-staff socials, ensures retention of members with a variety of interests by helping
coordinate socials for each committee (for skit, traditional dance, modern dance, production, direction, etc.), aids the
producer in arranging halftime, and the open-to-all after-show festival and social.

Bi-Monthly Meetings (2 times a month):

Administrative Meetings:
Business: Attendance mandatory for the Executive Producer & all Tier 1 Staff, as well as Production Assistants
and Financial Assistants. All other Tier 2 Staff should be available upon request.
Creative: Attendance mandatory for both Creative Directors. Direction assistants should be available upon
request.
Creative Meetings:
Business: Attendance mandatory for the Secretary.
Creative: Attendance mandatory for both Creative Directors, Tier 1 Staff (except Sound Coordinator & Lighting
Coordinator). Direction assistants mandatory. All others should be available upon request.
