Mil-Std-810F, Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Tests, 01 January 2000.
The information presented in this report is, to the best of our knowledge, true and correct in all respects.
The EUT was monitored during testing (where appropriate). Functional testing was performed before and after each
test.
Note 1 Mil-Std-810F, Method 511.4, Procedure I testing was performed by Environ Laboratories in their Minneapolis, Minnesota
laboratory. Environ Laboratories' Engineering Report 41878-1 is located in Appendix I.
The unit was exposed to a +70º Celsius environment and not operating for forty-eight (48) hours.
Refer to the Daily Test Status Log, located in Appendix C, for specific testing details.
The Non-Destructive Test System did not exhibit any malfunction or evidence of physical damage after being
subjected to this condition.
The unit was exposed to a +50º Celsius environment and operating for sixteen (16) hours.
Refer to the Daily Test Status Log, located in Appendix D, for specific testing details.
The Non-Destructive Test System did not exhibit any malfunction or evidence of physical damage after being
subjected to these conditions.
The unit was exposed to a -20º Celsius environment and not operating for seventy-two (72) hours. The unit was
checked for functionality at each twenty-four (24) hour period of the complete duration.
Refer to the Daily Test Status Log, located in Appendix E, for specific testing details.
The Non-Destructive Test System did not exhibit any malfunction or evidence of physical damage after being
subjected to these conditions.
The unit was exposed to a +0º Celsius environment and operating for sixteen (16) hours.
Refer to the Daily Test Status Log, located in Appendix F, for specific testing details.
The Non-Destructive Test System did not exhibit any malfunction or evidence of physical damage after being
subjected to these conditions.
The unit was subjected to a cyclic air-to-air temperature shock with a hot temperature of +70º Celsius and a cold
temperature of -20º Celsius. The duration of soak at each temperature was four (4) hours with a transfer time of less
than one (1) minute between temperature extremes. A total of three temperature cycles were completed.
Refer to the Daily Test Status Log, located in Appendix G, for specific testing details.
The Non-Destructive Test System did not exhibit any malfunction or evidence of physical damage after being
subjected to these conditions.
The unit was subjected to a cyclic temperature and humidity with temperature gradients at +30º Celsius and +60º
Celsius with a constant 95% relative humidity. The duration of testing was ten (10) twenty-four (24) hour cycles.
Refer to the Daily Test Status Log, located in Appendix H, for specific testing details.
The Non-Destructive Test System did not exhibit any malfunction or evidence of physical damage after being
subjected to these conditions.
Refer to the Environ Laboratories' Engineering Report 41878-1, located in Appendix I, for specific testing details.
The Non-Destructive Test System did not exhibit any malfunction or evidence of physical damage after being
subjected to these conditions.
The unit was mounted in its normal orientation and secured to the vibration system via the shaker armature and slip
plate assembly. The Non-Destructive Test System was subjected to one (1) hour of vibration in three (3) perpendicular
axes (X, Y, and Z), with the unit operating.
Refer to the Daily Test Status Log, located in Appendix J, for specific testing details.
The Non-Destructive Test System did not exhibit any malfunction or evidence of physical damage after being
subjected to these conditions.
Refer to the Daily Test Status Log, located in Appendix K, for specific testing details.
The Non-Destructive Test System did not exhibit any malfunction during and after exposure to these conditions.
The unit was mounted in its normal orientation and secured to the vibration system via the shaker armature and slip
plate assembly. The Non-Destructive Test System was subjected to three (3) positive and three (3) negative, 15 g,
11 msec shock pulses in three (3) perpendicular axes (X, Y, and Z), with the unit operating.
Refer to the Daily Test Status Log, located in Appendix L, for specific testing details.
The Non-Destructive Test System did not exhibit any malfunction or evidence of physical damage after being
subjected to these conditions.
The unit was dropped a total of twenty-six (26) times from a height of 122 cm. The drops were applied to each face,
edge, and corner of the unit packaged in its intended shipping.
Refer to the Daily Test Status Log, located in Appendix M, for specific testing details.
The Non-Destructive Test System did not exhibit any malfunction or evidence of physical damage after being
subjected to these conditions. The protective case exhibited signs of damage following the drop test on two corners.
