NOVENA TO SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

NOVENA LEADER / COMMENTATOR:

On this _____ day of our novena in honor of our patron St. Michael the
Archangel, let us pray… (state novena intention of the day)

NOVENA INTENTIONS:

September 20 IN THANKSGIVING for all graces and blessings bestowed by

God upon Saint Michael College for the past 103 years.

September 21 FOR FORGIVENESS for the many times we failed to witness

to God’s love through selfishness, apathy, and lukewarmness,
especially in caring for the needy and the vulnerable.

September 22 FOR OUR ALUMNI, BENEFACTORS AND FRIENDS: that

God may reward their generosity with abundant blessings.

September 23 FOR OUR PARENTS: that they may remain faithful to their
vocation and to one another, continue to respect the sanctity
of life, and make every effort to pass on to their children those
human and spiritual values that give true meaning to our life.

September 24 FOR ALL PUPILS AND STUDENTS: that, imbued with

Christian values, they may live their Michaelinian identity as
agents of transformation in the world and as men and women
for others.

September 25 FOR THOSE WHO ADMINISTER OUR SCHOOL: that they

may be given the grace to be faithful to their commitment and
be inspired to serve the poor and the neglected through
education and compassionate caring.

September 26 FOR OUR TEACHERS: that they may carry out the noble task
bestowed upon them as educators and tirelessly continue to
form competent and socially responsible Michaelinians.

September 27 FOR THE STAFF AND MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL: that,

through faithful and honest service, they may serve as
inspiration for the young.

September 28 FOR ALL DEPARTED MICHAELINIANS: may enjoy eternal

life as the Lord promised all who believe in Him.

Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

Novena Prayer

Saint Michael the Archangel, / loyal champion of God and His

people, / we turn to you with confidence / and seek your powerful
intercession. / For the love of God, / Who made you so glorious /
in grace and power, / and for the love of the Mother of Jesus, / the
Queen of the Angels, / be pleased to hear our prayer. / You know
the value of our soul / in the eyes of God. / May no stain of evil /
ever disfigure its beauty. / Help us to conquer / the evil spirit who
tempts us. / We desire / to imitate your loyalty to God / and Holy
Mother Church / and your great love for God and people. / And
since you are God's messenger / for the care of His people, / we
entrust to you / this special request: (Mention your request).

Saint Michael, / since you are, / by the Will of the Creator, / the
powerful intercessor of Christians, / we have great confidence / in
your prayers. / We earnestly trust / that if it is God's holy will / our
petition will be granted. /

Pray for us, / Saint Michael, / and also for those we love. / Protect
us / in all dangers of body and soul. / Help us / in our daily needs.
/ Through your powerful intercession, / may we live a holy life, /
die a happy death, / and reach heaven / where we may praise

Guide and comforter of the people of Israel,
Splendor and fortress of the Church Militant,
Honor and joy of the Church Triumphant,
Light of angels,
Bulwark of faithful believers,
Strength of those who fight under the standard of the Cross,
Light and confidence of souls at the hour of death,
Our most sure aid,
Our help in all adversities,

and grant us, by the intercession of St. Michael, that wisdom which teaches us to
lay up treasures in Heaven by exchanging the goods of this world for those of
eternity, You Who live and reign, world without end. Amen.
