PERSONAL STATEMENT
I’ve always seen unfortunate events as opportunities for me to be a crutch to those in need. When people
are going through the worst, I try my best to make their struggles easier. I thrive when helping those in
need. I also love learning about the inner workings of the body, chemistry of medicine, and rare diseases.
I’ve always considered math my favorite subject, but science has slowly blossomed into another passion
of mine. All these things that I am passionate about, also help people at the same time. I want to end
everyday knowing I made a difference in someone’s life, and I believe that my desired major of nursing
will extend me that opportunity each and every day. My ambition for helping people, studying math and
science, and ever-developing work ethic makes me want to strive to be a nurse, and hopefully go to grad
school to pursue a Nurse Practitioner position or Nurse Anesthetist. I hope you can see all these things
within me and grant me the opportunity to apply myself for the NHS scholarships in hopes of aid in this
new chapter of my life.
