To qualify the course a student is required to secure a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate including the semester end
examination and teachers continuous evaluation.(i.e. both internal and external).
A candidate who secures less than of 40% of marks in a course shall be deemed to have failed in that course. The
student should have at least 50% marks in aggregate to clear the semester. In case a student has more than 40% in each
course, but less than 50% overall in a semester , he/she shall re-appear in courses where the marks are less than 50% to
achieve the required aggregate percentage of 50% in the semester.

Question Paper Structure

1. The question paper shall consist of eight questions. Out of which first question shall be of short answer type (not
exceeding 50 words) and will be compulsory. Question No. 1 shall contain 8 parts representing all units of the
syllabus and students shall have to answer any five (weight age 4 marks each).
2. Out of the rest seven questions, students shall be required to attempt any five questions. There will be minimum
one and maximum two questions from each unit of the syllabus. The weight age of Question No. 2 to 8 shall be
10 marks each.

Foundation Course
(B.F.A- I & II Semester)
Objective: The objective of the foundation course is to provide a sound exposure and fundamental
training in inter-related areas of art, viz. drawing, design, color, clay modeling, painting, methods and
materials in all its forms and expressions.

The course puts premium on educating the students about the principles and practical dynamics.

 A comprehensive understanding of art in all forms, expression and appreciation.
 Understanding of art in historical perspective incorporating the changing environment and
technologies.

there arts from Paleolithic age to the beginning of historical period.

 Making the students aware about drawing as a tool to realize and promote aesthetics, visual and
textural sensibility.

1) Object Drawing – Drawing from cubes, cones, cylindrical object, casts, drapery, and still Objects in
groups etc. Observed and studied in various rendering media and techniques in Different light
conditions. In pencil rendering with shade and light.
2) Nature drawing
a. To develop the sense of structure. Study from any kind of forms in nature Such as, shells,
butterflies, flowers, plants, insects, stones, bones etc. To understand how these forms achieve
their structural unity through adherence to principles with physical nature of the material being
observed and studied through various rendering media and techniques in various light
conditions.& arrangement

 The objective is to provide fundamental training to the students about the principles of visual and design
experience and to prepare them for the specialization course.

1) Study of two dimensional space and its organizational possibilities, exploration.


2) Elements of pictorial Imageries related to concepts of space and forms. Developing Possibility of
pictorial with application of elements such as point, line, shape, volume texture, light and color
