MARKET AREA DEVELOPMENT

Introduction
Most of the people of the area were involved in agriculture for
daily activities. Those products are mainly used for living only
but have not been utilized for monetary value. Main reason for
this situation is the lack of proper platform and awareness, also
the involvement of people as community. Currently there are
few local shops present within the main road but it is not able
to sustain the needs of the people. With the ongoing
construction of an RCC bridge over Badhare khola connecting
Community Hall
the nearby village and development of road network, it might
be also possibility on development of commercial sector for Proposed Market Area
growth of the area if proper platform with appropriate structure
were provided in the site. Respecting the site context and New Bridge
considering the prime location we have proposed a general
plan to develop a small market with suitable landscape where
local products can be promoted and more flow of the people
toward the site. This area can act as the linkage between rural-
urban areas and help in economical growth of the overall area.

A short program including one-storey block, public toilet,


suitable storage area, garden, open market space and
appropriate landscape was formulated. Considering the site
context and contour overall market area with ample sitting area
and supporting garden has been developed as a medium to
attract more flow of people.

The existing access road has been used as reference for


the design of the overall structure.

Small community hall was proposed with in the site which
help in community bonding and provide vibrance within the
site.
