o Implemented an educational plan to increase caregiver preparedness and exercise
training response for mass casualty incidents.
o Presented education and a quick exercise for frontline staff to increase muscle memory
and retention for mass patient surge events.

• Fox Valley Healthcare Emergency Readiness Coalition


Coordinator: Regional Infectious Disease “Go-Team”: 2016-Current
o The Fox Valley Healthcare Emergency Readiness Coalition identified a need for a mobile
infectious team with the ability to triage and assess patients with a potentially high-risk
infection, reducing the need to transporting patients into a hospital or healthcare
facility.
o This team is a regional collaboration of expertly trained healthcare professionals who
are able to be deployed or consulted in the case of an unusual infectious outbreak. The
diversity of this team includes RN’s, MD, RT, Peds, Public Health, EMS, and support staff.

• UW Oshkosh BSN Clinical Synthesis Project: August 2015


o Developed best practice guidelines for a local needle exchange program for the
Winnebago County due to the rise in Heroin epidemic in Winnebago County. This work
was presented to the Winnebago County Board of Health and the Winnebago County
Public Health Department.
o These efforts established the foundation for a needle exchange program that was
opened in the spring of 2016.
