Canyon Product Magazine

Started in 2003 as a manufacturer of IT related products, Canyon has grown to a ma-
ture IT and CE brand over the last few years. Started off in PC components and peripherals
Canyon broadened its product line in 2004 with MP3 players, headsets and many other
products. In 2006 sports related products were added to Canyon’s portfolio with products
such as GPS navigators, digital measuring devices and sport watches.
In December 2007 Canyon even introduced a fully equipped multimedia desktop PC,
which was a success right from the start. This all-in one PC comes standard with a matching
wide screen LCD monitor, keyboard, mouse and webcam and an optional speaker set. The
introduction and the success of the PC has proven the power and strength of the lifestyle
brand Canyon: it’s flexible and can adjust easily to all circumstances. No matter what the
opportunities are Canyon can produce and sell it faster and better than anyone.
Canyon is known for its young lifestyle image which is not only visualized in adver-
tisements and magazines like these, but is mainly carried out by the artwork of the retail

Sports Watches
If you are training, competing, exercising or doing any other activity to stay in good shape or to
feel good, Canyon’s Sportsline contains a range of sports watches. Those watches can be used
for various activities and for everyday’s wear.
For heart rate monitoring Canyon offers 2 models. The SportMaster, CNS-SW1, is supplied
standard with a chest belt for wireless transmission of the heart rate. The SportMaster also
monitors the MHR in relation to your personal settings and indicates the calories and the
fat you have burned. Next to this the CNS-SW1 provides many other useful features. The
HeartMaster, CNS-SW4, is using a patented finger touch sensing technology and has one heart
rate zone alert mode. Very useful are the chronograph and countdown timer functions, which
can be used for many sports and activities.
Most suitable for outdoor activities are both the NavMaster, CNS-SW2 and the SkiMaster,
CNS-SW3. Both models have features which are relevant for hiking, mountain biking, skiing,
camping and a lot more. The standard functions are: altimeter, thermometer, digital compass
and the SkiMaster comes even with a barometer to check the expected weather conditions and
a ski mode with several options.

Outdoor
For outdoor purposes people require tools to inform them about the location, the headed
direction and the expected weather conditions. Canyon offers the devices that display the
required information. The GPS Outdoor Trainer, CNS-GPS2, is a multipurpose GPS wrist-
watch device which can be used in heavy conditions as it is shockproof and waterproof
according to the IPX7 standard. Due to the built in GPS it’s suitable for various sports
activities as it displays the actual and recorded training time of your workout. It
also measures the distance in time and speed which can be saved and
compared to other training workouts. Furthermore it can be used
as a navigation device thanks to the high performance SiRF
Star III GPS chipset supporting EGNOS/WAAS. You can map
a location, mark a trace point, find a marked point and
find you way back with the backtrack function. It also
allows you to visualize saved routes and tracking points
on Google Earth and Google Maps.

Both outdoor handheld devices the Navigator, CNS-DC1 and the Explorer, CNS-DC2 are es-
sential tools for activities such as hiking, mountaineering, camping and others.
The Navigator is a electronic compass, thermometer, calendar and stopwatch in one. The
Explorer is a more sophisticated version as it has standard an altimeter, barometer (weather
forecast), hygrometer, thermometer, stopwatch and calendar for the exact time and alarm.
Both models are water resistant and shockproof hence it can be used under all weather con-
ditions.
For people who enjoy hiking, running or Nordic walking
Canyon provides the digital pedometer, CNS-DPM2. It counts the number of steps, the dis-
tance traveled, the calories burned, displays the time and has a stopwatch as well. On top of
these features it has a pulse sensor which enables you to measure your heart rate.
