Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
 Must be 18 or older
 CPR and First Aid Certified or willing and able to successfully obtain;
 Experience working with young children, preferred
 Must be able to work flexible hours – after school hours

Job Duties
 Provide quality, nurturing care to children enrolled in the program;
 Demonstrate skills to properly address developmental needs of school aged children;
 Maintain effective working relationships with children, parents, and staff;
 Provide for the physical safety of each child from arrival time until departure time;
 Maintain a safe, clean, care-giving environment; practice good personal hygiene and hand washing; and
assure the wellbeing and safety of all of the children in that environment;
 Maintain a positive, calm attitude and a pleasant, soothing voice, and model this attitude and voice for
parents and others employees in the program;
 Maintain compliance with the state of Michigan child day care licensing rules at all times;
 Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job;
