On November 7, 2018 at 12:45 p.m., I implemented
a professional development module during the First
Grade Team Meeting, presenting a power point
presentation and the OneNote resources. The PD
included a discussion of the following:
I.Under-Representation Trends & Brumby
II.Differentiation/Enrichment
III.Compacting/Acceleration
IV.Creativity
V.Social/Emotional Needs

6 Second Grade teachers, the first grade ESOL

teacher, and an administrator were present for the
presentation. Teachers engaged by asking
questions and sharing challenges and ideas.

This is a major culminating product of this practicum
meeting the goal of creating and hosting a PD
module to inform teachers of underrepresentation
trends in our school as well as better informing them
of best practices for working with high ability
students, meeting needs in both academic and
affective domains.

It took several weeks to put the PPT presentation
together. It took effort and time to organize and
find time to meet with the Second Grade team
during a meeting. I had to exchange emails back
and forth with the Second Grade team leader to
set up the meeting. The PD itself took only an hour.
