The Department of Civil Engineer-
ing was established in the year of
1952. The Department is offering
UG Courses in Civil Engineering
(Both Full time and Part time), PG
Courses in Structural Engineering
and Environmental Engineering.
The Department has a team of well
qualified, energetic and dedicated
faculty members. The Department
has well equipped Laboratories
with all kinds of Sophisticated
Equipments and Instruments,
Virtual Class Room, Library, Excel-
lent Computer Centre, Research
Centre, etc. Faculty members are
actively involved in Research, Con-
sultancy & Testing Services. The
Department of Civil Engineering is
regularly organizing programmes
like International Conference,
National Conference, Workshops,
Special Seminars, Symposium etc.
ACCOMMODATION
Hostel Accommodation will be ar-
ranged for outstation participants
on request subject to the availa-
bility. Travelling expenses are to
be borne by the participants or
their respective Institute.

ACGCET
The government of India launched
the quality improvement pro-
gramme in the year 1970. One of
the main objectives of the
programme is to upgrade, exper-
tise and capacity building of the
faculty members of engineering
institutions in the country. The
programme is now being imple-
mented and monitored by AICTE. A
number of short term courses have
been organized by major QIP
Centers for the benefit of faculty
members. Since 2016 Alagappa
Chettiar Government College of
Engineering and Technology, has
been approved as one of the best
QIP Centers in the country for
research and several development
activities.
