Yamaha Music Gulf FZE is one of the subsidiaries of Yamaha Corporation, in charge of GCC,

Middle East, CIS, West Asia and Africa regions. As well as supplying musical instruments and
audio products, we engage in proving a chance to learn music in the responsible areas and
attempt to contribute to respective societies.

Our Scholarship program aims to provide financial assistance to students who are pursuing
full-time diploma / degree courses in music institutions.

PROGRAM
- In 2018-19 our scholarship program is being held for Piano
- 3 students will receive one-time scholarship of 1000 USD
- First Audition will be done by recorded video performances of the applicants and 9 finalists
will be selected
- Final Audition will take place in Dubai, UAE, on 9th of February 2019. Flight and accommodation
for finalists and their professors will be provided by Yamaha Music Gulf FZE
CONDITIONS
General:
- Age: Applicants must be born between 1 January 1997 and 31 December 2002
- Countries: GCC, Middle East, West Asia and Africa
- Applicants must be students of music university, conservatory, college or any other music
institution
- Applicants need to submit application form and video recording of two pieces played on
acoustic piano to Yamaha Distributor in his/her country within a period from 1st of September
till 30th of November 2018
First Audition Repertoire:
- Piece #1: Any movement from any Sonata of Joseph Haydn
- Piece #2: Free choice piece
- Duration of both pieces should not exceed 20 minutes
Final Audition Repertoire:
Piece #1: Free choice piece
Duration of the performance should not exceed 10 minutes.

Alberto Nosè (Italy)
Alberto Nosè gained his first recognition at the age of eleven, winning First Prize in the Jugend für Mozart
International Competition in Salzburg. He studied at the “F. E. Dall’Abaco” Conservatory in Verona and
International Piano Academy Incontri col Maestro of Imola. Thanks to numerous prizes conquered in prestigious
competitions, among which Piano-Masters in Montecarlo in 2015, Paloma O’Shea in Santander in 2005 and F.
Chopin in Warsaw in 2000, Alberto builds intense concert career in the major concert halls: Carnegie Hall in New
York, Southbank Centre and Wigmore Hall in London, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Théâtre du Châtelet and Salle Pleyel
in Paris, Mozarteum in Salzburg, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Teatro La Fenice in Venice,
Parco della Musica in Rome. He is regularly invited to important concert series in France, Germany, Switzerland,
Poland, Spain, USA, Mexico, South America, China, Japan and Hong Kong. He often holds masterclasses at
Conservatories, Colleges, Institutes and International Music Festivals. He is Piano Professor at the Accademia
Amadeus in Valeggio sul Mincio.

Hiroshi Arimori (Japan)


Hiroshi Arimori obtained Mater’s degree at Tokyo University of the Arts in 1992 and furthered his study in Moscow.
He received the Best Performing Award at the12th Chopin International Piano Competition in1990, Okayama
Prefecture’s Art Award in 1991, the 4th prize at the 5th Sydney International Piano Competition of Australia in
1992 and a prize at the 10th International Tchaikovsky Competition in 1994. His energetic approach to Russian
piano works has brought him high acclaim as an expert on Russian music. Throughout his career Hiroshi Arimori
has release 19 highly acclaimed CDs and performed big number of concerts in Japan and abroad, as solo pianist
and together with leading orchestras, such as Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra,
Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and many more. Currently
he is Associate Professor of Tokyo University of the Arts, Specially-Appointed Professor of J. F. Oberlin University
and of Osaka College of Music, and Part-time Instructor of Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts.
