Keep it clean
The Earth is our responsibility. It is important to take care of where we live. The
forests help the earth to breathe. The trees and plants renew the air, they use the
carbon dioxide we produce and make the oxygen we need. But we cut them down
and the Earth can’t breathe very well. The sea provides water which becomes rain
and the rain gives us our water to drink. But we pollute the sea and the water
becomes poisonous. In a few years we are not going to have much water to drink.
So, how can we help? - Stop cutting down the trees in the rainforests.
- Stop polluting the sea.
- Recycle as much as we can.
In many countries people cut down most of the forests. They burned the wood or used it
for building. One solution to this problem is planting new trees to replace the old ones.
Some people are trying to help the situation in different ways. Some shops are giving
new bags that people can re-use. Every time you go to the shop, you can take these
bags.
