1. PLANNING INFORMATION
A. EFFECTIVITY
This Service Bulletin is applicable to FALCON 2000EX aircraft with serial numbers 1 and subsequent
(F2000EX, F2000EX EASy, F2000LX, F2000LXS, F2000DX, F2000S) equipped with outboard slat
part number without the suffix "P" (see table below):
L/H OUTBOARD SLAT R/H OUTBOARD SLAT
FGFB134 FGFB144
From FGFB134A1 to FGFB134A9 From FGFB144A1 to FGFB144A9
B. REASON
Outboard slat piccolo tubes have been found deteriorated on some F2000 series aircraft. This
situation led, in a few cases, to ice accretion on the outboard slats.
In order to prevent such an unwanted situation, the present Service Bulletin mandates an inspection of
the outboard piccolo tubes, and subsequent part replacement as necessary.
C. DESCRIPTION
The operation consists in inspecting the LH/RH outboard piccolos tubes.
D. COMPLIANCE
Mandatory:
• It is anticipated that this Service Bulletin will be rendered mandatory by an EASA Airworthiness
Directive.
• As prescribed by the Airworthiness Authorities of the country of registration of the aircraft.

2. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
A. PRELIMINARY STEPS
(1) The aircraft must be in the maintenance configuration (Refer to TASK 20-00-00-910-801).
(2) Obey the flight control system maintenance and safety precautions (Refer to TASK
27-00-00-910-801).
(3) Connect the electrical Ground Power Unit (GPU) (Refer to TASK 24-00-00-860-801).
(4) Connect the hydraulic GPU to hydraulic systems 1 and 2 (Refer to TASK 29-00-00-860-801).
(5) Fully extend the slats in normal mode (Refer to TASK 27-50-00-860-802 , paragraph "Extension
in Normal Mode").
(6) Inhibit slat deflection (Refer to TASK 27-50-00-860-802 , paragraph "Operation on Slats or Flaps
Extended").
(1) On the slat only, disconnect LH and RH outboard telescopic ducts (30DL)/(40DL) (Refer to TASK
30-11-09-900-801).
(2) Using a mirror, check for the absence of weld beads (5-fig. 2) inside the outboard slat piccolo
tube:
(a) If weld beads are not found, the outboard slat piccolo tube is equipped with a reinforced TE
pipe:
1 Using an indelible marker, add suffix "P" to the outboard slat part number.
2 Connect LH and RH outboard telescopic ducts (30DL)/(40DL) (Refer to TASK
30-11-09-900-801).
3 Proceed with step 2.D.
(b) If weld beads are found, the outboard slat piccolo tube is not equipped with a reinforced TE
pipe. Proceed with step 2.C.
C. INSPECTION
(1) Remove the outboard slat closing rib (fig. 1)
(a) Remove the bead of Tecsil (1-fig. 1), using cleaner and a plexiglas spatula.
(b) (A/C with M3229) Remove the three screws (2-fig. 1)and washers (3-fig. 1) from doubler (4-
fig. 1).
CAUTION: (A/C WITH M3229) SILICONE SEAL (5) IS BONDED BETWEEN HOUSING (6) AND
DOUBLER (4) WITH TECSIL. TAKE GREAT CARE TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO
THE SEAL AND DISTORTION OF THE HOUSING.
(c) (A/C with M3229) Remove doubler (4-fig. 1) from silicone seal (5-fig. 1), using a Plexiglas
spatula.
(d) (A/C with M3229) Remove silicone seal (5-fig. 1) from housing (6-fig. 1).
(e) Remove housing (6-fig. 1) with its paddings (7-fig. 1) and the three spacers (8-fig. 1).

(f) Remove all remaining traces of Tecsil using cleaner and a Plexiglas spatula.
(g) Remove closing rib (9-fig. 1) as follows:
• Prepare a screw stowage template for closing rib (9-fig. 1).
• Each screw must be placed, as it is removed, in its corresponding location on the
template.
• Remove the six screws (10-fig. 1) and nuts (11-fig. 1), then the three screws (12-fig.
1) and washers (13-fig. 1).
• Remove closing rib (9-fig. 1).
(2) Inspect manifold (1-fig. 2) of the piccolo tube through closing rib (2-fig. 2).
NOTE 1: For this inspection, the borescope (TO-20-010) must have the following features:
• be 1-metre long (3.28 ft),
• have side-view optical device (3-fig. 2),
• save pictures.
NOTE 2: The borescope can be housed in a semi-rigid hose to protect the optical device and
enable easy orientation.
