Summary: SCE submits this report out of an abundance of caution as it may meet the subject of
significant public attention or media coverage reporting requirement. Preliminary information
indicates the Woolsey Fire was reported at approximately 2:24 p.m. Our information reflects the
Big Rock 16 kV circuit out of Chatsworth Substation relayed at 2:22 p.m. Our personnel have
not accessed the area to assess our facilities in the vicinity of where the fire reportedly began. At
this point we have no indication from fire agency personnel that SCE utility facilities may have
been involved in the start of the fire. It is our understanding Ventura County Fire Department is
the lead agency with resources from Los Angeles County Fire Department involved in fire
suppression activities. The Los Angeles Times notes the fire has consumed 2,000 acres and we
have no reports of any injuries or property damage attributed to the fire. The investigation into
the matter is ongoing.
