Bharatanayam and Sattriya presented at Aura-

Under the initiative of Aura Aurangabad's Culture tourism, Mahagami


organised a classical dance concert in the city recently. Under the Aura-
Aurangabad concerts, this was the third dance recital series wherein
esteemed dancers like Preetilekha Chowdhury and Shreya Kompally
presented their respective dance forms.

The first performance at the event commenced by Shreya Kompally who


presented various compositions of Bharatanayam. Her dance recital
started with Ganesh stuti which was followed by Panchashat peeta
roopini, Krishna nee begane baro, Himagiri tanaye and concluded with
Tillana - a lively number performed towards the end of a concert.
The second performance was put forth by Preetilekha Chowdhury who presented Sattriya before the audience. Her dance
recital commenced with Krishna Vandana wherein the dancer presented the birth of Lord Krishna and the slaying of the evil
king Kansha through her performance. This was followed by Ramdani Chali and ended on a expressive note of Haradhanu
Bhanga which was a Abhinaya enacting the Swayamvara of Sita. The dance recital was choreographed by late Dr Kesavananda
Deva Goswamiand and is set to Raag- Mahur and Taal -Ektaal and Sutkala.
