When we think about elections and politics, we should take them seriously.

We know how
corporations (with ties to the banking interests, the CFR, etc.) influence both major parties. We
know of the compromises in both significant parties too. That is why we should maintain our
political independence. Yet, elections do matter. The reason is that elections and politics affect
how communities receive vital resources, how much voting rights we do have, and how excellent
health care will be for human beings. Even school board officials and judges (individuals vote these
individuals into office too) determine how laws are created plus interpreted by the voting process.
Grassroots organizing is a crucial part of any movement for social change well. In other words,
meetings in neighborhoods must exist. There should be programs to help the poor and working
class people including all oppressed human beings in general. These human beings must be part of
the decision-making process in formulating solutions. That’s common sense since the community
must have a leading role in establishing beneficial policies for the people. Not to mention that
voting is not enough. Change is undoubtedly caused by social movements working in the streets,
factories, schools, parks, urban areas, rural areas, the suburbs, and many different locations
nationally plus internationally. So, real change ought to be an everyday affair as justice shouldn't
exist based on a clock. It should come ASAP to humanity.

Not to mention that activists are not begging anyone for change for crumbs. People are demanding
comprehensive change and want to establish their own bread for that bread to be equitably
distributed among the masses of the people. People demand an end to the system of oppression and
replace it with the system of justice. More and more 18-29-year-old human beings have registered to
vote for the midterm elections and beyond. The events in Parkland and in other places have
motivated the youth to speak out and be more active in their communities. The 2018 midterm
elections are one of the most critical elections in American history. This is the first midterm
election during the fascist Trump regime. A record number of black people, women, immigrants,
etc. are running for public office. We should judge a candidate on his or her policies and
commitment to the promotion of the general welfare of society. We want great, progressive
candidates to win ultimately.
Some of the Most Important Elections in American
History

The image on the top left (1) showed Franklin Delano Roosevelt\ during the 1932
election speaking about fighting the Great Depression and causing America to
achieve more greatness in the midst of economic problems. The image on the
top right (2) described John F. Kennedy and his wife during the 1960 campaign.
John F. Kennedy would be the youngest elected President in American history.
His speeches were strident, strong, eloquent, and outlined the goal of national
prosperity along with progressive international cooperation. The picture on the
lower left (3) outlined President George W. Bush during the 2000 election. He
defeated the Democratic candidate Al Gore. The 2000 election had controversies
with the Florida vote recount, voter suppression (as documented by journalist
Greg Palast and others), and protests. The Bush Presidency would exist with
9/11, the war on terrorism, Katrina, the Iraq War, etc. From the beginning of the
Bush era to the end of it, it was filled with profound controversies indeed. The
lower far right image (4) showed Barack Obama celebrating his 2008 campaign
victory in Chicago with his beautiful wife former First Lady Michelle Obama and
their children, who are Sasha and Malia. Barack Obama made history as the first
African American President in the history of the United States of America. The
Obama Presidency dealt with getting out of the Great Recession, massive cultural
& social changes, BLM, the continuation of the war on terrorism, health care, and
other important issues.
One of the most important elections of the year is the
2018 gubernatorial race of Georgia.
Georgia Stacey Abrams is the
Democratic candidate for governor. If she wins, she will be
the first black woman to be Governor of any state of the
Union. Georgia is a state on the move. Urban
communities in Georgia are more progressive than the
rural areas. Likewise, many open-minded people live in
rural communities too not just the urban ones. Stacey

And that is why we fight on."
There has been a lot of news about the victory of
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (she is a Puerto Rican woman) -Stacey Abrams, November 16, 2018
who won one Democratic primary months ago. She is 28 The photo is from C-Span
years old and has heroically stood up against extremism.
Like usual, the haters have attacked her. Her haters aren't just far-right extremists, but moderate
Democrats who believe in the myth that appealing to the center will somehow make revolution
possible. History doesn't teach us that. Dr. King, for example, said that the white moderates were
more of a hindrance to civil rights than the far right Klan or the Citizens Council. The reason is
that in a lot of occasions, a moderate wants compliance and the status quo, not liberation
immediately. The Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act were never caused by moderates
collectively. It was created by progressive activists who marched, used civil disobedience, and
confronted those in power. Many people were assaulted and died for both laws to be signed. The
New Deal wasn't created by those in the center. In fact, many conservatives and centrists back then
opposed much of the New Deal. Social Security and other aspects of the New Deal were created by
labor rights activists and others who protested and sparked a movement that ended the Great
Depression of the 1930's. Legal, overt slavery in America didn't end by some moderates or those in
the center. Slavery in America ended by militant abolitionists, Union soldiers, and other
courageous black people who militantly fought against the injustice of slavery. That's real.
Therefore, we don't need centrist propaganda. We are either hot or cold not lukewarm.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez has made it very clear that we need universal healthcare, free college
tuition, an end to ICE, and real economic justice for poor plus working class Americans. She
represents her own district in the Bronx and in Queens, NYC. For the establishment Democrats
(who are actually center-right now) in the media and in Congress minimizing her historic victory
should be used as a badge of honor by her. FDR once said I welcome their hatred. We have to
refute the haters' lies that being a democratic socialist is a dirty word (when Dr. King praised
democratic socialism in his words), or we have too much debt to pay for programs (when we always
had colossal debt yet we invested heavily in highways, schools, and other infrastructure for
generations). Those deficit hawk hypocrites lecture us on debt, but won't speak on the massive
spending involving the military industrial complex or the enormous tax cuts for the wealthy which
expands the deficit, etc. Not to mention that unregulated capitalism doesn't work to end poverty
or improve the environment. There are tons of creative formulas to generate the revenues to invest
in concrete, necessary social programs that help the people.

To promote the general welfare is an essential democratic value. Crowley has shown amazing class
involving his defeat. Recently, extremists want Cortez to support every policy of Israel
unconditionally. She said that she isn’t well versed in geopolitical foreign policy matters. I am well
versed in those matters. The truth is that for decades, Palestinians have experienced a brutal,
unjust occupation and many Palestinians in the Middle East are treated as second-class citizens not
as equal human beings. Netanyahu has been filled with scandals and many of the far right in Israel
not only are anti-Arabic racists but anti-black racists too (as many of those far-right bigots say slurs
about black immigrants in Israel. I'm not making this up either. Recently, the racist, Sephardic
chief rabbi likened black people to monkeys. His name is Yitzhak Yosef). Therefore, there should
be no compromise on this issue. There must be justice in that region which means liberation for
the Palestinian people. Both Jewish people and Arabic people in that land should have peace,
equality, and justice, not occupation. The life of an Israeli has the same value as the life of a
Palestinian person. When Israelis experience suicide attacks, then that is wrong. When Palestinians
suffer murder, then that is wrong too. Anti-Semitism has increased in the United Kingdom, and
anti-Semitism is evil and wrong. I'm not naive either as there is massive anti-black racism in many
Middle Eastern nations too from Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and to North Africa. Likewise, scapegoating
every Muslim on Earth for every evil in the world is also wrong. Also, there are plenty of programs
and ways to fund higher wages, universal health care, etc. despite what lying far-right extremists
and corporate centrists say. The people decided, and we are committed to the Dream entirely. I
wish the best for Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.
I just saw the Al Sharpton and Corey Stewart interview on MSNBC (weeks ago), and I wasn't
surprised at Stewart's lies and exaggerations. Stewart didn't talk about the issues but promoted the
lies that we shouldn't talk about race regularly and his minimizing of the epidemic of racial
oppression in the world. The reality is that there is no solution without dealing with race and class
in America period. We, who are progressives, don't talk about race all of the time. We talk about
race, class, the environment, immigration, civil liberties, international issues, the court system
police brutality, and other diverse issues that matter to the world. We just don't minimize racism
in the world. Stewart defended his statements about praising traitors and slaveowners like Robert
E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. The truth is that the Confederacy was based on not only treason but
on racism and slavery as found in their documents. I read their documents promoting slavery as
well. Not to mention that Stewart didn't talk about solutions like Medicaid expansion, investments
in poor plus rural communities, funding
infrastructure, using public funds to promote
smaller class sizes and mentors involving education
and addressing police brutality. Corey listed the
same old far right wing talking points (in fear-
mongering about immigration when
undocumented immigrants are never a majority of
murderers. In fact, Corey ignores how babies, who
are immigrants, are placed in internment camps
since he wants to dehumanize people based on
immigration status, which is the essence of Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi
xenophobia. Right now, many Latino American declared victory in the 2018 elections. Donald

are responsible for rising income inequality and
stagnant wages) and attacked Sharpton with personal attacks.
The new tactic by these conservatives is to bait progressives and anyone that disagrees with them,
but we are wiser than that. We shouldn't take the bait. History teaches us that racism doesn't end
by being askance or ignoring issues of race. It is by confronting systems of racial oppression and
any form of abuse to achieve a true system of justice. Moderation and pressure less persuasion don't
work. We fight for our freedom, we demand our rights, and we believe in our cause. The interview
shows how progressives and any freedom fighter should respond when debating a neo-Confederate
far right extremist like Corey Stewart (whose views are just like the views of the alt-right. Corey
supports Trump as well. Trump is an overt racist). It is wrong for taxpayers to fund Confederate
statues on public lands. Confederate statues are like Nazis statues. Confederates were domestic
terrorists. Unlike Stewart, I was born and raised in Virginia for real. My relatives have lived in
Southampton County and Cape Charles. This is my state. I know of the history of my state, and we
have real issues here. Also, I recognize the fact that many Virginians reject Stewart's deceptions
and believe in human freedom for people without bigotry. I reject Corey's agenda completely, and I
believe in black liberation 100%.

The Historic 2018 Election Results

Today has been a mixed day filled with good news and some sad news. The good news is that we
have a record turnout for the midterm elections. Many new voters came out to vote. There has
been a significant increase of voters aged 18-29, so younger voters did participate in the 2018
elections. We don't have one party controlling the entire Congress. The Democrats have gained
seats and will control the House. The bad news is that the Republicans will control the Senate for
now. Many people sacrificed their time and effort to make their voices heard. Nothing will be the
same again. People want legislation and to maintain a check on Trump. There should be
investigations and policies executed by Congress to help with health care, infrastructure, living
wages, housing, education, and other essential matters in the United States of America. Some
history has been made, and there is an influx of new Democratic Governors. Heroes like Stacey
Abrams and Andrew Gillum have shown the world that progressive principles must be promoted.
Bigots and extremists can't stop the truth. This time represents how important voting is. Voting
doesn't just deal with national elections. It deals with judges, school board members, city council
people, and other officials. One of the great news is that Amendment Four passed in Florida that
allowed felons to have voting rights after they paid their debts to society. This is a further benefit
for humanity. Also, we shouldn't lose faith. I lived through Reagan, Bush Sr, Clinton, Bush Jr.,
Obama, and Trump. We will survive and grow in the future. Goodness is better than evil, and we
will always believe in the general welfare.
Trump doesn't have a subservient House or Senate anymore. For
the first time in history, over 100 women are in Congress. That
is an outstanding achievement. This election has all been about
women of every color fighting for solutions and standing up for
real principles. Also, many Democrats gained governorships and
won the majority of the House. We see many candidates making
history. All of the votes in the Florida Governor's race haven't
been counted yet. So, Gillum could win. Millions of people
voting for DeSantis show me that many people in Florida are

Americans rejecting the agenda of Trump and a significant minority (much larger than the polls
state) that are not only lovers of Trump but outright bigots. Trump used xenophobic rhetoric and
his supporters disgracefully ally with him. I'm glad that Corey Stewart lost. Beto O'Rourke did
better than expected. Gillum had a great campaign. In Florida, many of the older voters in the west
coast of the coast in the panhandle voted against their interests for a white racist for Governor. 113
million people came to vote which was a historic high in 2018.

Courageous History Makers

Ayanna Pressley Laura Underwood Ilhan Omar

Jahana Hayes Letitia James Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

History has been made by tons of human beings via the historic blue wave. Ayanna Pressley won
the House race for the Massachusetts 7th Congressional district. Pressley is a member of the Boston
City Council, and she was the first black woman elected to the Boston City Council. Also, she is
the first black woman elected to Congress from Massachusetts. Always standing up for real,
progressive solutions, Ayanna Pressley represents the best of our nation. She loves her family
prodigiously too. Johana Hayes is a great schoolteacher, and Johana won the House race from
Connecticut's 5th Congressional district. She is the first black Democratic House member from
Connecticut. Hayes advocates for gun control and single-payer health care. Sharice Davids (who
was a MMA fighter and a lesbian) and Debra Haaland are the first Native Americans elected in the
United States Congress. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won a House seat in New York City. She is the
youngest woman to be in Congress as she is 29 years old. She lives in the Bronx, NYC. Many
Governors are now Democrats found in the states of Wisconsin, Illinois, New Hampshire, New
Mexico, Kansas, and Nevada. Antonio Delgado is an attorney, and she is the first Afro-Latino to be
elected from upstate New York State. Ilhan Omar (a Somalian American) and Rashida Talib are
the first Muslim women of Congress.
Both women embrace progressive platforms. Ilhan Omar is the first Somalian American and the
first former refugee to be elected in the U.S. House. She is the first black woman to be in the
House from Minnesota. Veronica Escobar and Sylvia Garcia won districts in Texas. Both women
are the first Latina congresswomen from Texas in their districts. Letitia James is a lawyer and an
activist. She was the first African American and the first woman elected to be Attorney General of
New York state. Wesley Bell is a St. Louis area attorney and won a crucial election to be a
Prosecuting Attorney of St. Louis County, Missouri. There was the historic win for 17 black
women. They were elected judges in Harris County, Texas. Kyrsten Sinema won her House race in
Arizona too. Lauren Underwood is a registered nurse. She earned a house seat at Illinois's 14th
Congressional district. She is 32 years old and wants health care, infrastructure, and investments in
family leave. Lauren Underwood is 100% right. Women have voted in large numbers including
black people. Therefore, history has been made in many quarters after the 2018 elections.

There is a lot of news today. Special counsel Robert Mueller released documents to a federal court.
These documents recommend that Michael Flynn should receive little to no prison time because of
his "substantial" cooperation with the FBI probe into the Russian hacking of American institutions.
Flynn was a Trump ally and former national security advisor who was caught in lies and other acts
of corruption. Flynn was interviewed by the Mueller team 19 times, and many areas of the
documents are redacted. This causes some to speculate that the areas redacted deal with more
critical information involving possible collusion or other acts of criminal activity. Flynn has been
secretly giving Mueller tons of information. The memo also shows three Justice Department
investigations too. Mueller mentioned that Flynn discussed information about members of the
Trump Transition Team and some Russians talking with each other. Flynn spoke with Mueller on
more times than Cohen did. The irony is that Flynn is the person wanting Hillary to be locked up
(for misleading the public about his activities involving dealing with foreign affairs), but Flynn
could be locked up. Roger Stone will plead the Fifth in the Senate investigation, and he has refused
to testify to the Judiciary committee. That is all you need to know about Roger Stone's heinous
character. He wants to unconditionally support the evil male Trump when Trump harbors a
disrespect of the institutions of government and the rule of law. Roger Stone might be indicted
soon. Trump, according to some legal scholars, have been involved in witness tampering.
Conversely, Michael Cohen has admitted his wrongdoing and implicated Trump and others
in working with the Russians in a proposed hotel deal. deal The Trump administration is filled with
criminals, liars, and extremists. That's self-explanatory.
It is clear what we stand for. We stand for religious freedom and the separation of church and
state. We stand for health care being a human birthright, and no discrimination should exist
against those with pre-existing conditions. We stand up for honoring immigrants who contributed
a lot to America. We believe in ending police brutality and always respecting the great legacy of
black Americans. We believe in making Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid permanent parts
of our society. Therefore, we should never let anyone tell us that we haven't expressed what we
stand for. We stand for quality education, adequate housing, and a robust, progressive society.
After living on this Earth for almost 35 years, one secret out of life that I have learned is that real
power isn't about material items or paper money per se. Real power is about the ownership of
resources that develop over time. Real power deals with the land as Brother Malcolm X has
mentioned. That is why it is vital to support our Brothers and our Sisters who own land and are
helping their own communities. Learning and applying what we know to improve ourselves and
our communities relate to power too. Healthy foods, farming, building, and institutions are entities
that must be cultivated. That is why investments in trade schools are vital. Trade schools not only
give men and women great skills, but they teach people how to be sufficient in their own
occupations long term. Also, I believe in intellectual growth and the cultivation of sociology,
history, literature, medicine, law, education, STEM-fields, and other like-minded subjects. Both
learning about technology and other intellectual pursuits is a wise course to take. Action is
ultimately caused by using critical thinking skills and building. The beauty of life is that nothing is
set in stone. We can make change happen in a positive direction. In the end, we will win.

NEW ERA
Today, history has been made among
many ways. New people have been
elected into the Congress and they
were sworn recently. Also, we see over
100 women members of Congress
which is a record. It is the most diverse
Congress in history. Families came into
Congress to celebrate a new era of
politics in early 2019. During this era,
new investigations about the Trump
regime will happen. Also, Nancy Pelosi
was sworn in as the new Speaker of the
House. She is the first Speaker of the
House who won it two times since
decades ago. The Sister Rep. Wilson
helped to allow Nancy Pelosi to win the
Speaker of the House.

Also, it is important to mention the 15

Democrats (most of them didn't even
vote for an alternative candidate, so
they were disingenuous) who voted
against her for petty reasons. Many of
these Democrats, who voted against
Pelosi, are once again centrists who
care for the status quo instead of
revolutionary justice. Representative
Maxine Waters voted for Nancy Pelosi
too. We witness the 116th Congress
