COMPRESSORS
Compressors transfer refrigerant for cooling & oil for lubrication of parts around
the system, increase refrigerant pressure & temperature before entering condenser
& draw low pressure refrigerant vapor from evaporator.
BLOWER MOTORS
Blower Motors force air through the vents. You can control the speed through switches, buttons & dials
on the dashboard. The motor contains a resistor which allows it to change the speed of the fan.
AIR FILTERS
Air Filters prevent airborne contaminants from getting pulled into your truck’s engine. It’s a paper filter that
keeps the engine clean & free of debris so that the engine can function optimally. A clean Air Filter also
equates to better gas mileage.

EXPANSION VALVES
The Expansion Valve removes pressure from the liquid refrigerant to allow expansion, or change
of state, from a liquid to a vapor in the evaporator. It controls the amount of refrigerant flow
into the Condenser thereby controlling the superheating at the outlet of the evaporator.
RECEIVER DRYERS
The primary function of the Receiver Dryer is to receive & store liquid refrigerant from the Condenser.
The liquid refrigerant enters at the top of the receiver & falls to the bottom. A pickup tube with a filter
screen extends to the bottom of the Receiver Dryer. This pickup tube draws liquid refrigerant from
the bottom of the Receiver Dryer. The liquid refrigerant then passes on to the inlet of the thermostatic
expansion valve.
