● An integrated task is a product resulting from the integration of the input provided in the
unit, the linguistic elements corresponding to the course level, and evidence of critical
thinking.
● To construct this product, you should be able to integrate and transfer the knowledge
associated to content, knowledge associated to language (structures, vocab, etc.), as well
as the understandings (see number 4 below) taken from the unit backward design.
● To know how to do your task, we suggest you to organize and plan in advance. The
questions in the chart below set out a framework to comply with this planning purpose.

Individually, deliver a 15’ TedTalk that formulates a proposal to deal with an issue issue
covered in these units. The proposal should be focused on dealing with an issue within the
reality of the Chilean classroom/educational setting.
1. Present your topic in an engaging way and explain the relevance of dealing with your
issue.
2. Analyze your issue from different perspectives (theory, actors involved, national policies,
etc.). Use at least 5 academic references of reliable quality (books, journal articles, etc.)
3. Present a proposal to deal with your issue. Your proposal must be in coherence with your
previous analysis.

All students must be ready to present on Monday, November 12th at 8:30. No volunteers will be
taken. Teachers will come up with the presentation order.
VI. Considerations.
● Plagiarism is a serious offence, which will be dealt with severely. The first offence will be
given a 1.0. If a second offence occurs, you may be suspended from the course and
expelled from the program. (reglamento académico título VI, art 21). This also applies to
quotes that are cited incorrectly.
● This task will be assessed using the speaking standard rubric for 2nd year, and one extra
criterion to measure content, integration, and transfer.
