So you never heard the tale of the infamous tale of

the boastful braggart Blue Jay Bard bounding
blissfully across the boarders? Well pour yourself
a tall glass of wine, slip into something
comfortable and just let me do all the talking.

Rikuto is an aarakocra, a bird-person who hails

from the boundless vistas of the Elemental Plane
of Air. Yet Rikuto himself has never been to the
Elemental Plane of Air... his entire tribe was wiped
out by an ancient and wrathful Djinn when the tribe
leader did some crime that greatly offended the
Djinn personally. Yet before the almighty creature
could finish the job, the last surviving spell-caster
of the tribe gathered what eggs he could and sent
them throughout the realms, scattering them wildly
in a frantic attempt to save at least these last few
unborn lives.

Rikuto's egg happened upon the material plane

and soon-after started hatching. The only reason
he didn't end up dying an hour or three later was
because his cries were heard by a sylvan bard
who wandered out of the Feywilds for a bit of
adventure. For whatever reason, the elf didn't
simply abandon Rikuto, and instead seemingly
adopted him and taking him along with his journey.

As soon as Rikuto could walk, he was holding an

instrument in his hands. His father mostly spoke in
songs, rhymes and riddles, being the wild elf he
was, and the bird-child he adopted was quick to
follow in his footsteps. It didn't take long for the
Bard's Gift to appear in Rikuto, enhanced by the
strange but magical teachings of the Feywild that
his adopted father bested upon him. By the age of
7, which is considered adult-hood by Aarakocra
standards, the blue jay could gather an crowd with
his stories, inspire people at work with his songs
and distract the guards as his father raided a
stores and warehouse with his instruments.

At the age of 10, Rikuto's father took him to one of

the only people that he seemed to respect. A
