1 Organization Unit Categories
This section summarizes the categories of the Organization Units that will be involved in the Business
Motivation Model.

Category Definition
Individual A single person. E.g. Cynthia Torres.
Group A number of people that are located or classed together. E.g. Project
Management Office.
Corporation A company or group of companies authorized to act as a single entity.
E.g. Hello World Bank.
Department A division of an organization, dealing with a specific area of activity.
E.g. Human Resources Department.
Other Any other unclassified category of Organization Units.
Task Force A small group of people who deal with a specific problem. E.g. A
group setup for vendor selection.
Team A group of people with set of complementary skills required to
complete a task, job or project. E.g. Development team.
Role/Position A duty someone usually has or expected to have. E.g. Project
manager.
Project A piece of planned work or an activity that is finished over a period
of time and intended to achieve a particular purpose. E.g. Bridge
construction project.
