Dear Eller College Admissions Committee:

It is not hard to see that money is a main component of what modern society revolves around.
The current financial industry is a field of professional work that has a hopeful and promising
future with a lot to offer young professionals. These are just two reasons why I am applying for
the Finance major from the Eller College of Management. I believe that the Finance major will
combine my passion for math, customer relations, investing and money to help me succeed after
college. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career in either financial advising or sports and
entertainment wealth management.

I recognize that Eller is regarded as an outstanding business college and I believe that I will
embody all of the college’s core values during my academic career. Growing up playing many
sports like baseball, and being involved in many clubs like DECA, I have developed valuable
communication, and teamwork skills. Working both as a golf coach and a U of A recreation
center staff member, has helped me cultivate my judgment skills and patience, preparing me for
the group work that is associated with being an Eller student. Every job that I have had has
encouraged me to provide constructive criticism to my coworkers, just as I would be expected to
do as an Eller student. I have also assisted with my fraternity’s philanthropy, to raise money for
the Tucson Fire Department, knowing giving back to the community is important. Overall, I
believe that my past and my recent college experiences have developed me into an individual
who has the potential to do something great in the Eller College of Management.

I have developed a passion for business over the past couple of years, and I am eager to begin on
my path to a career in finance. Receiving a bachelor’s degree in finance would provide me with
the opportunity to utilize my social, analytical and professional skills to find a career I enjoy. In
Eller, I will not only seek to develop myself as a business professional daily, but also challenge
those around me to be the best they can be. My morals and goals will continue to help me excel
throughout the rest of my college career, and I am excited to see what the Eller experience will
bring. Thank you for your time and consideration. I am looking forward to becoming part of the
Eller family and taking one step closer to achieving my life goals.
