GRID STATION AM (S) NTDC DADU.

1. At 08:18 hours 500 KV Circuit Breakers B3Q3 and B3Q2 (Controlling main and middle
Circuit breakers of 500 KV Dadu Jamshoro II Circuit) opened by NPCC to issue PTW to
EHV-II.
2. At 08:20 Hours 500 KV circuit Breakers B1Q2 and B2Q2 opened by NPCC (500 KV Bus
Bar II is de-energized) to issue PTW to EHV-II.
3. At 9:00 Hours PTW No. 190 is issued to Mr. Fahad LS-I EHV-II Hyderabad on 500KV
Bus Bar II and 500 KV Dadu Jamshoro -II Circuit for jumpering of 500 KV 4th Bay Bus
Bar with Existing 500 KV Bus Bar II and testing of 4th Bay Extension work as per
instructions of NPCC.
4. At 9:00 Hours PTW No. 191 is issued to Mr. Ayaz LS-I 500KV T/L Sub-Division Dadu
on 500 KV Dadu Jamshoro- Circuit for Washing and cleaning, as per instructions of
NPCC.
5. At 09:05 Hours PTW No. 192 is Issued to Mr. Narender Kumar AE (M) on 500 KV Bus
Bar-II for Washing and cleaning as per instruction of NPCC.
During the testing of 500 KV 4th Bay Extension work for 500 KV Dadu-Moro Circuit
following trippings occurs:
6. At 12:45 Hours 500 KV Circuit Breakers B1Q1, B2Q1 B2Q3, B3Q1, 220 KV Circuit
Breaker D3Q1 & D3Q3 (Controlling 500KV Bus Bar-I and 500/220 KV 450 MVA T/F
T-2) tripped under following indications
Indications on Control Panel
(i) On LV panel of 500/220 KV, 450MVA T-2 “LV over Current Operated”, “ Over
Load Alarm”.
Indications on Relay Panel
(i) Relay Panel of Breaker Failure of 500 KV 4th Bay (Extension Work) : “ Breaker
Failure Relay (50BF3) operated”.
(ii) 500 KV Bus Bar-I Relay Panel: “ Lock Out KB1L and Lock Out KB1L-1 tripped.
(iii)Relay Panel of T-2 Transformer: “LV Over current Yellow Phase Tripped”.
7. At 12:45 Hours 132 KV Circuit Breakers E2Q1 and E4Q1 tripped with following
indications
Indications on Control Panel : “Under Frequency Relay Operated”.
Indications on Relay Panel: “under frequency relay tripped”
8. At 13.05 Hours 500KV Circuit Breaker B3Q1 and B2Q1 Closed (500KV Bus Bar-I and
500/220KV, 450 MVA Transformer HV Side Energized) as per instruction of NPCC.
9. At 13.06 Hours 500KV Circuit Breaker B1Q1 Closed as per instruction of NPCC.

10. At 13.07 Hours 500KV Circuit Breaker B2Q3 Closed (500 KV Dadu Jamshoro-I Circuit
Energized) as per instruction of NPCC.
11. At 13.08 Hours 220 KV Circuit Breaker D3Q1 Closed (500/220 KV T/F T-2 LV Side
Energized) as per instruction of NPCC.
12. At 13.09 Hours 220 KV Circuit Breaker D3Q3 Closed as per instruction of NPCC.
13. At 13.12 Hours 132 KV Circuit Breaker E4Q1 and E2Q1 Closed (132 KV Dadu Sakrand
and 132 KV Dadu Moro Circuits Energized) as per instruction of RCC.
14. At 13.15 Hours PTW No. 192 cancelled as per instruction of NPCC.
15. At 13.36 Hours 220 KV Circuit Breaker D4Q2, D4Q3 and 132 KV Circuit breaker E11Q1
tripped (220/132 KV, 250MVA T/F T-5 tripped which was running in Parallel With
220/132 KV, 160MVA T/F T-3).
Indications on Control Panel: “Over Fluxing tripped”.
Indications on Relay Panel on Over Excitation relay “Over Flux Tripped”.
16. At 14:20 Hours PTW No. 191 Cancelled as per instruction of NPCC.
17. At 14:28 Hours PTW No. 190 Cancelled as per instruction of NPCC.
18. At 14:50 Hours 500 KV Circuit Breaker B1Q2 and B2Q2 Closed (500 KV Bus Bar-II
Energized) as per instruction of NPCC.
19. At 14:52 Hours 500 KV Circuit Breaker B3Q2 and B3Q3 Closed (500KV Dadu
Jamshoro-II Circuit energized) as per instructions of NPCC.
20. At 15.18 Hours 220 KV Circuit Breaker D4Q2 and D4Q3 Closed (220/132 KV,
250MVA T/F T-5 HV Side Energized) as per instructions of NPCC.
21. At 15:19 Hours 132 KV Circuit Breaker E11Q1 Closed (220/132 KV, 250MVA T/F T-5
LV Side Energized) as per instructions of RCC.
