Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety is a normal reaction of peopleto situations of stress and uncertainty. An anxiety
disorder, however, isdiagnosed when several anxioussymptoms cause distress or somed
egree of functional impairment in thelife of the individual suffering from it. Aperson wit
h an anxiety disorder mayfind it difficult to function in differentareas of his or her life: s
ocial and familyrelationships, work, school, etc.
Panic attack:
A panic attack is the intense and suddenonset of fear or terror, often associatedwith feeli
ngs of impending death. Symptoms include shortness of breath, palpitations, chest pain
and discomfort

Phobic disorders:
Many people admit that they are afraidof snakes or spiders,
but they cantolerate that fear. Individuals with aphobia, on the other hand, are not ableto
tolerate this fear; they experience anirrational fear when faced with thephobic stimulus,
whether it be anobject, an animal or a situation, and thisoften ends in avoidance behavio
ur.
There are different phobic stimuli thattrigger this irrational fear: flying in anairplane, dri
ving a vehicle, elevators, clowns, dentists, blood, storms, etc.

Post-traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD):


It's a type of anxiety disorder. It can occurafter you have experienced emotionaltrauma t
hat involves a threat of injury ordeath.
Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar disorder can affect how a personfeels, thinks, and acts. It ischaracterized by exa
ggerated moodswings, from mania to majordepression. Therefore, it goes beyondsimple
mood swings, that is, emotionalinstability: it affects many areas of life, and in addition t
o being one of the mostcommon disorders, it often occursalong with obesity. Cycles of
bipolardisorder last for days, weeks, ormonths, and seriously impair the workand social
relationships of the personwith bipolar disorder.

Depressive Disorder
Many people feel depressed at somepoint in their lives. Feelings ofdiscouragement, frus
tration, and evendespair are normal in the face ofdisappointment and can last for several
daysbefore gradually disappearing. However, for some people, thesefeelings can last for
months and years, causing serious problems in their dailylives.
Depression is a serious and debilitatingpsychopathology, and it affects how anindividual
feels, thinks and acts. It cancause both physical and psychologicalsymptoms. For examp
le: intakeproblems, sleep problems, discomfort, fatigue, etc
