Abstract

The purpose of the paper was to examine the effects of the improper

waste management along the creeks on Veinte Reales. All residences of the

baranggay Veinte Reales constituted the respondents of the study. Ten (10)

respondents were selected as sample through purposive sampling technique.

The study was qualitative-phenomenological in nature, therefore, the researchers

used interview method in collecting an in-depth data. After the analysis, it was

concluded that the residents of barangay Veinte Reales are well aware in the

detrimental effect of flooding on their living and community. These effects bring

harm to their health and lifestyle, and causes inconvenience to their daily lives.

Nonetheless, discipline and being responsible are integral in mitigating the

effects of improper waste disposal along the creek of Veinte Reales. Based on

the findings, it was recommended that waste disposal practices of every

individual as an aid and medium for a lessen destruction of the effects of

improper waste disposal and to contribute in creating a clean and health

environment for everyone.
