*Attained certification which entailed an accredited workshop while proving skills through demonstration.
 Understanding compassion: dogs and cats often get stressed out in unfamiliar situations, and groomers need to
understand this and treat them accordingly.
 Implementing outstanding customer-service: groomers work with customers directly, and must be friendly and listen to
their requests and needs.
 Practicing attention to detail: groomers must pay attention to what they are doing, so that the animals stay safe and the
outcome looks incredible!
 Developing stamina: groomers are on their feet for long periods of time, sometimes hunched over animals during the
styling process. It is a grueling career that only few can uphold.

 Completed my first half-marathon in February 2018. Currently training for my first joint half-marathon/10K back-to-
back race in July. Shortly thereafter, further planning to pursue a full marathon before 2019.
 Most recently intrigued by outdoors activities; planning first overnight backpacking trek on the Appalachian Trail later
this coming fall.
 Possess a natural propensity to serve and think of others above myself; experience enjoyment in the giving of my time
for worthwhile causes.
