Summer training as the name itself suggests is undertaken by B.B.A. student as an integral part of
B.B.A. curriculum usually during the month of June & July when a student enters in his/her last
year of his course. The main advantage of the summer training is to provide an opportunity to
apply the theoretical aspect in practice that gives an excellent opportunity to a student to apply his
capability, intellect, knowledge, brief reasoning and mental ability by giving a solution to the
assigned problem, which reflects his caliber.

concept clearer.

brand has been a great success in international markets as well. When it all began about 30 years
ago, nobody could have even dreamt that the small trading company that came into being as
LalchandTirathram Mills could one day be on its way to become a leading global FOODS
company. In 1965, Bhikiwind, in a little village in Amritsar (Punjab, India); Raghunath Arora
started a small trading company which grew from being a commissioning agent to a partnership
firm by 1977, as LalchandTirathram Rice Mills.
In 1978 V K Arora joined the family business with his father, with a clear vision of taking his
company to a global level. In 1980, the company started exporting Premium Rice. This was the
first step towards making this vision a reality.
Simultaneously, the company decided to face the challenges in domestic markets by setting up a
modern, state-of-the-art rice factory in Sonepat, Haryana in 1984. Unorganized players with
inconsistent quality products were crowding the market. In this scenario, V K Arora felt the need
to promote branded and packaged products. In line with this vision, the company started the
business of milling, processing and marketing of branded basmati rice and manufacturing of rice
FOODS products in the domestic and overseas market.
Daawat came into being in the 1980s, and this resulted in a steep vertical ascent of the company’s
growth in the 1990s. Further industry innovations followed with complete streamlining of the
manufacturing process, removal of bottlenecks, and total modernization of rice manufacturing
plant and machinery and its balancing capacity. Moving ahead of the market, V K Arora

based procurement, state of the art milling plants, product quality and customer focus are a few
things Daawat has always been known for.

PROJECT
Research problem

Foods ltd. covering 50 employees and data collected based on the questionnaire prepared.
The backbone of the employee satisfaction is respect for workers and job they perform.
And easy revenue for employee to discuss problems with upper management should be
maintained and carefully monitored. The study was done to know the employee satisfaction in LT
Foods ltd. Employee are backbone of every organization so the organization should consider a lot
the employee should be motivated and satisfied. So that they can work more and hence to reach
the organization is to its great.
Significance of the study
It is said that satisfied employees are more productive. So every organization is giving high
priority to keep their employees satisfied by providing several facilities which improves
satisfaction and reduce dissatisfaction.
I want to know whether the employees in LT Foods ltd. are satisfied or not. So I had to address
the problem in my study.
Need for employee satisfaction
Everyone from managers, retention agents to HR need to get a handle on employee loyalty and
Satisfaction - how committed is the workforce to the organization and if workers are really
contented with the way of things for gauging their likelihood to stay with the company. One of
the main aspects of Human Resource Management is the measurement of employee satisfaction.
Companies have to make sure that employee satisfaction is high among the workers, which is a
precondition for increasing productivity, responsiveness, and quality and customer service.
Limitations of the study
However I shall try my best in collecting the relevant information for my research report, yet
there are always some problems faced by researcher The prime difficulties which I face in
collection of information are discussed below:-
The research was carried out in a short span of time, where in the research could not
widen the study.
The period of study was too short. So it was not possible to collect the relevant
information with in that period.
The findings are based on the answers given by the employees, so any error or bias may
be affect the validity of the finding
This is subjected to the basis and prejudices of the respondents, hence 100% of accuracy
cannot be assured.
Personal Variables Employee satisfaction:-
The personal determinants also help a lot in maintaining the motivation and personal factors of
the employees to work effectively and efficiently. Employee satisfaction can be related to
psychological factors and so numbers of personal variables determine the employee satisfaction
of the employees.
1. Personality:
2. Expectation:
The expectation level of employees affects their satisfaction level. If one receives more outcome
than expected then he will be highly satisfied and vice-versa. Fallowing these points come under
this category: • Expectation of employee from the job.
3. Age:
5.Gender Differences: The gender and race of the employees plays important determinants of
employee satisfaction Women, the fairer sex, are more likely to be satisfied than their counterpart
even if they are employed in same job. Fallowing these points come under this category:
➢ Increase productivity
➢ Improve teamwork
➢ Employee will believe that the organization will be satisfying in the long run
• The brand name of the organization is of utmost importance to the employees and it is
considered when employee satisfaction is considered.
• The aims and objectives of the organization where an employee works are likely to affect
employee satisfaction.
• Salary and wage is one of the most important factors behind employee satisfaction. The salary
should always be in accordance to the position of the employee in the company.
• Rewards and penalties are other important things that affect level of satisfaction of an employee
in his job.
• The kind of treatment given by the supervisor to the employee largely determines his
satisfaction level. It is always desired to treat employees in a good manner.
• Working methods of the organization determines the satisfactory level of an employee. It is true
that every organization has its own working methods but some freedom should also be given to
the employees.
1. Employee Orientation — one of the best ways to have satisfied employees is to make sure
they're pleased from the get-go. Offering a thorough orientation will ensure expectations are
realistic and that new staffers don't come in with rose-colored glasses that will quickly fade.
Proper on boarding encourages positive attitudes and can reduce turnover.
4. Workforce Engagement — Employees that don't find their work interesting or don't feel
they are contributing to the mission of the firm will not be engaged. For employees to be satisfied,
they must feel like they are part of something bigger than just what their individual work tasks
are. Include staffers in goal setting and how they fit in the corporation fabric to increase
engagement and satisfaction.
6. Recognition & Rewards— Employees enjoy an attar-boy and it need not be a public show
to mean something to employees. Encourage supervisors and managers to acknowledge
employees deeds on a daily basis. Also implement a formal program company-wide to recognize
top achievers in every job category. Healthy competition can boost morale; encourage hard work
and increase satisfaction and retention.
7. Track Job Satisfaction— Don't sit back and just hope that employees are satisfied — put
some data behind it. Offer anonymous online surveys or mobile surveys to effectively track how
employees feel about benefits, recognition, supervisor feedback and other aspects that contribute
to employee satisfaction. This allows you to improve, tweak and monitor satisfaction levels to
reduce turnover and save the company money.
8. Work itself --We can increase employee satisfaction by making job rotation, job
enlargement like knowledge Enlargement and task enlargement as well as job enrichment. Target
should be accessible for employee.
9. Fair Compensation and Benefits--Policies of compensation and benefits are most
important part of organization. But you should build your policies at "suitability" not "the best".
12. Provide Regular, Honest Feedback --Don't wait for a crisis situation to give feedback.
Instead, give regular constructive input into the employers performance across a wide variety of
issues, build loyalty, challenge to new levels of performance And keep it real.
13. Build Corporate Culture --We should focus on making proper communication channel,
good and supportive relationship with coworkers and with supervisor. Employee satisfaction can
be increased by demonstrating respect for everyone in the organization or company.
14. Provide Best Equipment and Safe Working Condition --Invest in employees by
making sure their tools and equipments don't keep them from being successful. Give them the
very best tools to deliver the very best performance to the company, customers and the
marketplace. Companies should build occupational health and safety program.
Organization achieve a more accurate view of current policies and a more clear perspective of
issue that are of priority to employees than others, such as benefits versus career development,
versus compensation.
By quantifying and analyzing employee attitudes and opinions, enterprises can identify problem
areas and solutions to create a supportive work environment encouraging a motivated and loyal
workforce.
Employees Satisfaction Surveys aid in developing individual goals and career potential. With
more insight into their opinion and attitudes, management can establish professional development
initiatives.

RESEARCH
METHODOLOGY
Research
Business research can be described as a systematic and Organized effort to investigate a specific
problem that needs a solution. More specifically, it is a process of planning, acquiring and
analyzing relevant data and information. We can define business research as an Organized
systematic, data-based, critical, objective, scientific problem undertaken with the purpose of
finding answers to it. In fact, research provides the needed information that guides managers to
make decisions. They can deal, successfully, with problems.
Research methodology
Research is an art of scientific investigation. It refers to a search for knowledge. The advance
Learner’s Dictionary English lays down the meaning of research as, “A careful investigation or
inquiry especially through search for new facts in any branch of knowledge.”
Research Methodology is a way to systematically solve the research problem. The research
begins its formation when the problem or objective of the research is identified for which a
research report is conducted. The main objective for which this report is carried out is to find
out “Satisfaction level of employees at LT Foods ltd.
Types of research:-
Research Design:-
A research design is the arrangement of conditions for collection and analysis of data in a manner
that aims to combine relevance to the research purpose with economy in procedure. In fact, the
research design is the conceptual structure within which research is conducted; it constitutes the
blueprint for the collection, measurement and analysis of data.
The design in such studies must focus attention on the following or process in descriptive research
design is as follows:-
Sources Of Data:-
The task of data collection begins after a research problem has been defined and research design
plan chalked out. Basically two types of data are available to the research namely:-
Primary Data:-We collect primary data during the course of doing experiments
research but in case we do research of the descriptive type and performs surveys, whether
sample survey or census surveys, then we can obtain primary data either through
observation or through direct communication with respondents in one form or another or
through personal interviews.
Secondary Data:-Secondary data means data that are already available i.e., they refer
to the data which have already been collected and analyzed by someone else.
In the present study, primary as well as secondary data has been used.
Sample Design:-
In most of the research design it becomes almost impossible to examine the entire universe. So
the only alternative is to report to sampling. This is true for the present study as well. Basic
principles to be followed in sampling are that the sample chosen must be representative of entire
universe to be studied.
Sample Size:-
In this present study we have taken the sample size of 50 employees to get their views regarding
how much they are much satisfied with their job, training provided to them for their future growth
and other facilities provided to them. These 50 people included employees of different level
working in LT Foods ltd.
Sampling Method:-
In dealing with any real life problem it is often found that data at hand are inadequate, and hence,
it becomes necessary to collect data that are appropriate. There are several ways of collecting data
which differ considerably in context of a survey, data can be other resources at the disposal of the
researcher.

Data processing
Editing, classification, coding and tabulation are the important stages in research. It is at this stage
the mass of data collected during the survey is processed with a view to reducing them to
manageable proportions. In other words, the data processing which encompasses, editing, coding,
classification, and tabulation, is an intermediary stage between the collection of data and their
analysis and interpretation. Thus, these are the three crucial stages in the processing of social
survey data.
1) Editing
2) Classification
3) Tabulation
4) Coding
Questionnaire designing
To collect information from the respondents who are scattered in a vast area.
To achieve success in collecting reliable and dependable data. The questionnaire
procedures normally comes into use where one cannot readily see personally all of the
people from whom he desires response of where there is no particular reason to see them
personally.

MACRO ANALYSIS

&
CONCLUSION
Recommendation
➢The employees should be made aware of the organizational welfare policies, both at the
corporate and project level.
➢ Company should give more attention to the flexible work schedule of the employees.
➢ Company should have the liberal salary policy, so that employees are satisfied.
➢ It is found from the survey that the 1/4thof the employees are not satisfied with the canteen
facilities provided by LT Foods ltd.
➢The management can arrange sitting session and meeting from time to time for the
improvement in welfare policies according to the changing needs of workforce.
Conclusion
As a part of our project work, I got an opportunity to spend a period of Fourty two days in LT
FOODS Ltd.. It helped me to analyze the working of the organization which helped as to convert our
theoretical knowledge into practical.
The present study is an earnest attempt to determine employee’s satisfaction in LT FOODS ltd. It is
indeed necessary for any organization to understand the need of their employees and fulfill them before
they leave the organization. If nothing is done by the organization then there are chances to loose
talented employees from any organization to its competitors. Hence it is necessary for any
organization to ensure employees satisfaction.
From the study it was identified that the most of the employees are satisfied with the job. Majority
of the employees are satisfied with the salary structure, promotional programs, working condition,
allowances provided by the organization. They are also satisfied with the employer-employee
relationship and communication channel in the organization. But still only 40% of the employees get
opportunities to participate in decision making. Also majority of the employees are not provided
with the welfare measures. If the firm concentrates of the findings and suggestions of their survey,
we hopefully believe that the organization can further bring out their labor with full satisfaction level
and obtain good result.
