Module: Time Based Maintenance - Strategy

Plan
At the conclusion of the exercises, you will be able to:
 Create and display maintenance strategies
 Create general task list using maintenance strategies
 Create strategy plan
 Schedule maintenance plans using the deadline monitoring as
an automatic scheduling tool
 Display the generated order list

7. Create Maintenance Strategy – IP11

SCENARIO
A strategy based maintenance plan is used when an item of equipment requires
maintenance at two different levels, for example it requires a visual inspection after a
month and a full overhaul after six months. The strategy based maintenance item allows
the user to create a maintenance plan that contains two maintenance packages
covering each level of maintenance.

You will now create a maintenance strategy.

You can use the hierarchy to define the priority of maintenance packages
with the same due date.
Note
If several maintenance packages are due at the same time, they must have
the same hierarchy.
If a maintenance package is to replace other maintenance packages when
due, it must have a higher hierarchy.

If two packages with the same hierarchy are due at the same time, then
both packages are performed.
If the two packages have different hierarchies, only the package with the
higher hierarchy is performed.

SCENARIO
A strategy based maintenance plan is used when an item of equipment requires
maintenance at two different levels, for example it requires a visual inspection after a
