English Speech (Muharram Month)

“The Power of Muharram” Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb...!!!

First of all, let’s thanks to Allah SWT who has given us mercies and blessing. So
we can gather in this peaceful place within happy condition and good situation.
Alhamdulillah (Allahuakbar)

Secondly, may peace and salutation always be given to our top leader Rasulallah
SAW. Let’s say shalawat to him with saying “Allahummashalli’ala Sayyidina
Muhammad, Wa ‘Ala Alisayyidina Muhammad” (Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam)

Month of Muharram, is one of the 4 months glorified by Allah SWT. As has been
spoken by Allah in surah At-Tawbah : 36.

ِ َ‫م َٰذَ ِلك‬ٞۚ ‫ض ِم ۡن َها ٓ أ َ ۡربَعَةٌ ُح ُر‬

ُ‫ٱلدين‬ َ ‫ت َو ۡٱۡل َ ۡر‬
ِ ٞۚ ‫س َٰ َم َٰ َو‬
َّ ‫ٱَّللِ يَ ۡو َم َخلَقَ ٱل‬
َّ ‫ب‬ ِ َ ‫عش ََر ش َۡه ٗرا فِي ِك َٰت‬ َ ‫ٱَّلل ۡٱثنَا‬
ِ َّ ‫ور ِعن َد‬ ِ ‫ش ُه‬ ُّ ‫ِإنَّ ِع َّدةَ ٱل‬
ۡ َٰ ۡ َٰ ۡ
َ
َّ َّ‫ٱعلَ ُم ٓواْ أن‬
َ‫ٱَّللَ َم َع ٱل ُمت َّ ِقين‬ ٗ ٗ
ۡ ‫سكُمۡ َوقَتِلُواْ ٱل ُم ۡش ِر ِكينَ َكآفَّة َك َما يُقَتِلُونَكُمۡ َكآفَّة َو‬ ٞۚ َ
َ ُ‫يهنَّ أنف‬ِ ِ‫ ُم فَ ََل تَظ ِل ُمواْ ف‬ٞۚ ‫ۡٱلقَ ِي‬
“The number of the months, with Allah, is twelve in the Book of Allah, the day
when He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the right
religion. Therefore, do not wrong yourselves in them and fight against the unbelievers all
together as they themselves fight against you all together; know that Allah is with the
cautious.”

As for the four month reference is: Zulkaidah months, Zulhijjah, Muharram and
Rajab.

Maybe we've asked in our minds, why does muharram month is said to be one of
the most honored by Allah SWT.?

Dear my beloved brothers and sisters who are honored by Allah SWT,,,!!!

The glory of muharram month is because there was a day we call the day of Ashura ' (ten
muharram). And on that day many incredible events that occurred, such as :

1. Prophet Adam's repentance is accepted on the 10th of Ashura’.

2. Noah was saved from the flood sump on this date.

3. Prophet Abraham was saved from a burning fire.

4. Prophet Yunus ejected from the belly of the fish.

5. Allah created heaven and hell on this date.

6. Allah created the angels Jibril, Mikail, Israfil and Izrail on this date.

7. And Allah also created His Throne and the Chair on this date. And many other
extraordinary events on the 10th of Muharram.

Dear my beloved brothers and sisters who are honored by Allah SWT,,,!!!

Now we have entered the month of muharram, 1435 H. So, how do we have to be
better than previous years.?

The best lesson from this time travel was to be aware or introspective ourselves
about our step tread along this time, in order to, everything that we will do in this year
could be better than a year ago. We have got at least five days that should we fill with
good deeds.
1. The first day is Past, the time period that we have passed, since we are born into this
world.

2. The second day is present, the day we are experiencing now.

3. The third day is future, we do not know, whether it is mine or not.

4. The fourth is, a day when we pulled by Izrail, to finalize this mortal life.

5. The fifth is a calculation day, when our charity and work values has no meaning
anymore.

Dear my beloved brothers and sisters who are honored by Allah SWT,,,!!!

Finally, in this new year let us together improve our haliyah, our deeds, our
worship, and our spirit in the fight in the way of Allah SWT.
